أحبطت المنطقة العسكرية الشمالية في الأردن، مساء أمس (السبت)، محاولة تسلل أربعة أشخاص عبر إحدى الواجهات الحدودية، بعد أن رصدتهم قوات حرس الحدود أثناء محاولتهم اجتياز الحدود بطريقة غير مشروعة.
وتعاملت القوات مع الموقف وفق قواعد الاشتباك المعمول بها، وتمكنت من إلقاء القبض على المتسللين قبل اجتيازهم الحدود، فيما جرى تحويلهم إلى الجهات المختصة لاستكمال الإجراءات القانونية بحقهم.
وأكدت القوات المسلحة الأردنية أن وحدات حرس الحدود تواصل أداء واجبها بكل يقظة وحزم، في إطار مسؤوليتها عن حماية حدود المملكة وصون سيادتها، والتصدي لأي محاولات تسلل أو أنشطة غير مشروعة قد تمس أمن الوطن واستقراره.
The Northern Military Region in Jordan thwarted an infiltration attempt by four individuals last night (Saturday) through one of the border crossings, after border guard forces spotted them while trying to cross the border illegally.
The forces dealt with the situation according to the established rules of engagement and were able to apprehend the infiltrators before they crossed the border, and they were transferred to the relevant authorities to complete the legal procedures against them.
The Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that the border guard units continue to perform their duty with vigilance and determination, as part of their responsibility to protect the kingdom's borders and uphold its sovereignty, and to confront any infiltration attempts or illegal activities that may threaten the nation's security and stability.
