The Yemeni armed forces achieved significant field progress today (Tuesday) in the south of Marib Governorate, as part of the ongoing "Dawn of Yemen" operations to defeat the Houthi terrorist militia.
They successfully liberated the "Thamad," "Al-Qaimah," and "Maqilat" mountains in southern Marib completely, which are strategic heights overlooking the "Al-Jawbah" district, granting the army fire superiority and full control over the military operations theater in the area.
A field source told "Okaz" that the Yemeni army units launched a focused military operation from several axes, resulting in the deaths and injuries of dozens of militia members, while the remaining forces fled, noting the seizure of quantities of heavy and medium weapons and equipment.
The source added that the military units continue their advance steadily according to the drawn field plans, amid rapid collapses and mass fleeing among the militia members towards other areas.
The source indicated that the Yemeni air defenses managed to shoot down an enemy drone.
The Yemeni armed forces thwarted, last night, Houthi attempts to regain the positions they lost since the launch of the "Dawn of Yemen" operation, forcing the militia to retreat and flee after inflicting losses in personnel and equipment.
