أعلنت كتائب القسام، الجناح العسكري لحركة حماس، اليوم (الجمعة)، مقتل قائد لواء خان يونس محمد عبد السلام اليازوري، خلال غارة إسرائيلية استهدفته في جنوب قطاع غزة، وذلك بعد ساعات من إعلان الجيش الإسرائيلي وجهاز الأمن العام «الشاباك» تنفيذ العملية.
وقالت القسام إن اليازوري، الذي كان عضواً في المجلس القيادي الأعلى للحركة وقائداً للواء خان يونس، قتل مساء أمس (الخميس)، مشيرة إلى أنه أدى دوراً بارزاً في التخطيط لهجوم 7 أكتوبر 2023 على إسرائيل.
من جانبه، أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي مقتل اليازوري، إلى جانب قائد سرية يدعى حذيفة معمر وعنصر آخر يدعى محمد بهجت راضي، في الغارة التي استهدفت خان يونس.
وقال الجيش إن اليازوري كان يعمل خلال الفترة الأخيرة على دفع هجمات ضد القوات الإسرائيلية وإعادة بناء القدرات العسكرية للواء خان يونس، الذي تعرض لضربات واسعة خلال الحرب.
القيادي في حماس القتيل
ويأتي مقتل اليازوري ضمن سلسلة استهدافات إسرائيلية لقيادات اللواء، إذ أعلنت إسرائيل في يوليو 2024 مقتل رافع سلامة، الذي كان يتولى قيادة لواء خان يونس، في غارة على المنطقة ذاتها، وقالت إنه كان من المقربين من محمد الضيف، القائد العام السابق للجناح العسكري لحماس.
ويعد لواء خان يونس أحد التشكيلات الرئيسية في الهيكل العسكري لحماس جنوب القطاع، فيما تمثل مدينة خان يونس قاعدة مهمة لعدد من أبرز قيادات الحركة، بينهم يحيى السنوار وشقيقه محمد السنوار.
ورغم اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار الذي دخل حيز التنفيذ في أكتوبر 2025، تواصل إسرائيل تنفيذ غارات وعمليات برية واعتقالات في قطاع غزة. وشهدت الأيام الأخيرة تصعيداً جديداً، إذ قالت مصادر طبية إن غارات إسرائيلية خلال يومي 9 و10 سبتمبر أسفرت عن سقوط قتلى، بينما أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي استهداف مواقع ومنشآت مرتبطة بحماس.
كما نفذت قوات خاصة إسرائيلية في الأول من سبتمبر عملية داخل مدينة غزة، أسفرت، وفق الجيش الإسرائيلي، عن اعتقال مسؤول في جهاز الأمن الداخلي التابع لحماس.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced today (Friday) the death of the commander of the Khan Younis Brigade, Mohamed Abdel Salam Al-Yazouri, during an Israeli airstrike that targeted him in southern Gaza, just hours after the Israeli army and the Shin Bet security agency announced the operation.
Al-Qassam stated that Al-Yazouri, who was a member of the movement's highest leadership council and the commander of the Khan Younis Brigade, was killed last night (Thursday), noting that he played a prominent role in planning the attack on October 7, 2023, against Israel.
For its part, the Israeli army announced the death of Al-Yazouri, along with a company commander named Hudaifa Ma'mar and another member named Mohamed Bahjat Radi, in the airstrike that targeted Khan Younis.
The army stated that Al-Yazouri had recently been working to carry out attacks against Israeli forces and to rebuild the military capabilities of the Khan Younis Brigade, which had suffered extensive strikes during the war.

The killing of Al-Yazouri comes as part of a series of Israeli targeting of brigade leaders, as Israel announced in July 2024 the killing of Rafiq Salama, who was in charge of the Khan Younis Brigade, in an airstrike on the same area, stating that he was close to Mohammed Deif, the former overall commander of Hamas's military wing.
The Khan Younis Brigade is considered one of the main formations in Hamas's military structure in the southern Gaza Strip, while the city of Khan Younis serves as an important base for several prominent leaders of the movement, including Yahya Sinwar and his brother Mohammed Sinwar.
Despite the ceasefire agreement that came into effect in October 2025, Israel continues to carry out airstrikes, ground operations, and arrests in the Gaza Strip. Recent days have witnessed a new escalation, as medical sources reported that Israeli airstrikes on September 9 and 10 resulted in casualties, while the Israeli army announced targeting sites and facilities linked to Hamas.
Israeli special forces also carried out an operation inside Gaza City on September 1, which, according to the Israeli army, resulted in the arrest of a Hamas internal security official.
