أدانت بريطانيا اعتداءات مليشيا الحوثي على المملكة، بما في ذلك استهداف البنية التحتية المدنية ومنشآت الطاقة، مؤكدةً وقوفها إلى جانب المملكة وشركائها في المنطقة.
وحمّلت وزارة الخارجية والتنمية البريطانية، في بيان اليوم، مليشيا الحوثي المسؤولية الكاملة عن تداعيات التصعيد ويفاقم معاناة المحتاجين إلى المساعدات الإنسانية، مشددةً على دعمها للحكومة الشرعية اليمنية.
وتهدد اعتداءات المليشيا استقرار المنطقة وحرية الملاحة وخطوط التجارة الحيوية عبر البحر الأحمر وباب المندب.
وأكدت أن المملكة العربية السعودية والجمهورية اليمنية لهما الحق في الدفاع عن أمنهما وسيادتهما وفقًا للقانون الدولي، مشيرةً إلى أن المملكة المتحدة تعمل مع شركائها لدعم استقرار المنطقة وحماية المدنيين واستمرار دخول المساعدات الإنسانية، مطالبةً مليشيا الحوثي بوقف اعتداءاتها وخفض التصعيد فورًا.
Britain condemned the Houthi militia's attacks on the Kingdom, including targeting civilian infrastructure and energy facilities, affirming its support for the Kingdom and its partners in the region.
The British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, in a statement today, held the Houthi militia fully responsible for the consequences of the escalation, which exacerbates the suffering of those in need of humanitarian assistance, emphasizing its support for the legitimate Yemeni government.
The militia's attacks threaten the stability of the region and the freedom of navigation and vital trade routes through the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab.
It affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Yemen have the right to defend their security and sovereignty in accordance with international law, noting that the United Kingdom is working with its partners to support regional stability, protect civilians, and ensure the continued entry of humanitarian assistance, calling on the Houthi militia to cease its attacks and de-escalate immediately.
