أعلنت وزارة الخزانة الأمريكية (الجمعة)، فرض عقوبات تستهدف 3 كيانات مرتبطة بإيران، كما أصدرت ترخيصاً عاماً جديداً فيما يتعلق بتعامل الأفراد أو الشركات تجارياً مع طهران.
وقالت الوزارة على حسابها في «إكس»: اليوم، كجزء من عملية المنبوذ الاقتصادي، قامت وزارة الخزانة بقطع خطوط الحياة المالية الحرجة للنظام الإيراني في إحدى الدول.
وأضافت الوزارة: أصدر مكتب مراقبة الأصول الأجنبية تسمية بنك جولدن جلوبال العالمي ومقره إحدى الدول وفروعها التابعة، والتي سهلت معاملات بقيمة عشرات الملايين من الدولارات لصالح فيلق الحرس الثوري الإسلامي (فيلق القدس)، وتوفر للنظام الإيراني وصولاً رئيسياً إلى خدمات المراسلة المصرفية يتيح له تحريك أمواله دولياً.
وقال وزير الخزانة الأمريكية سكوت بيسنت: «تواصل المؤسسات المالية اكتشاف الأمر بالطريقة الصعبة، بأننا جادون بشأن عملية المنبوذ الاقتصادي، بينما نأمل ألا نضطر إلى فرض عقوبات على مزيد من البنوك، فإن ذلك يعتمد في نهاية المطاف على مدى سرعة إدراك المجتمع الدولي للواقع ووقف دعمه للنظام الإيراني القاتل. نحن نعرف من أنتم».
وأضاف: «نعرف أين أنتم، وسنواصل التحرك مع حلفائنا وشركائنا حتى ندفن رأس الأفعى الإيرانية».
وتتزامن العقوبات مع تحركات أمريكا والترويكا الأوروبية لإصدار قرار بوكالة الطاقة الذرية يبلغ مجلس الأمن بخرق إيران التزامها، وفقاً لما نقلته وكالة «رويترز».
في غضون ذلك، أكدت وكالة فارس الإيرانية مقتل أحد عناصر حرس الحدود باشتباك مع جماعة مسلحة في مدينة باوه بمحافظة كرمانشاه غربي إيران.
The U.S. Treasury Department announced on Friday the imposition of sanctions targeting three entities linked to Iran, as well as the issuance of a new general license regarding individuals or companies conducting business with Tehran.
The department stated on its account on "X": Today, as part of the economic pariah operation, the Treasury Department has cut off critical financial lifelines for the Iranian regime in one of the countries.
The department added: The Office of Foreign Assets Control designated Global Golden Bank, based in one of the countries, and its affiliated branches, which facilitated transactions worth tens of millions of dollars for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (Quds Force), providing the Iranian regime with a key access to banking messaging services that allow it to move its funds internationally.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Pessenet said: "Financial institutions continue to learn the hard way that we are serious about the economic pariah operation. While we hope not to impose sanctions on more banks, that ultimately depends on how quickly the international community recognizes the reality and stops supporting the murderous Iranian regime. We know who you are."
He added: "We know where you are, and we will continue to act with our allies and partners until we bury the head of the Iranian snake."
The sanctions coincide with U.S. and European troika moves to issue a resolution to the International Atomic Energy Agency informing the Security Council of Iran's breach of its commitments, according to what was reported by Reuters.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Fars news agency confirmed the killing of a border guard in a clash with an armed group in the city of Paveh in Kermanshah province, western Iran.
