أدانت الأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية استمرار الاعتداءات الإيرانية على دولة الكويت، وآخرها الهجوم بالصواريخ والطائرات المسيّرة الذي تعرضت له البلاد أمس (الخميس)، مؤكدة رفضها الكامل لأي مساس بسيادة دولة عربية أو أمنها وسلامة أراضيها.
وأكدت الأمانة العامة تضامنها الكامل مع دولة الكويت، ودعمها لما تتخذه من إجراءات لحماية أمنها وسيادتها وسلامة أراضيها، محذرة من التداعيات الخطيرة لاستمرار استهداف أراضي الدول العربية، وما يمكن أن يترتب عليه من اتساع دائرة التوتر وتقويض المساعي الرامية إلى احتواء التصعيد المتواصل في المنطقة.
وشددت الجامعة العربية على أن استهداف الأراضي الكويتية يمثل تطوراً مقلقاً في ظل التوترات الإقليمية المتصاعدة، مؤكدة أن أمن الدول العربية وسيادتها وسلامة أراضيها يجب أن تظل بمنأى عن الصراعات والمواجهات العسكرية التي تشهدها المنطقة.
وجددت الأمانة العامة موقفها الرافض لنقل الصراعات العسكرية إلى أراضي الدول العربية أو تعريض أمن شعوبها ومنشآتها ومقدراتها للخطر، داعية إلى الوقف الفوري لهذه الاعتداءات، والالتزام باحترام سيادة الدول العربية وسلامة أراضيها، إلى جانب التقيد بأحكام القانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة.
وكان الجيش الكويتي قد أعلن عبر حسابه في منصة إكس، أمس (الخميس)، تصدي دفاعاته الجوية لهجمات صاروخية وطائرات مسيرة «معادية»، إثر «العدوان الإيراني الآثم». وأفادت وكالة الأنباء الكويتية بإطلاق صافرات الإنذار في البلاد.
وأعربت وزارة الخارجية عن إدانة دولة الكويت واستنكارها، وبأشد العبارات، لتكرار الاعتداءات الإيرانية الآثمة على البلاد، والتي كان آخرها فجر اليوم، في انتهاكٍ صارخٍ لسيادتها، وتهديدٍ مباشرٍ لأمنها واستقرارها وسلامة مواطنيها والمقيمين على أراضيها، وخرق جسيم للقانون الدولي.
وجددت الوزارة تأكيدها أن مواصلة هذه الاعتداءات السافرة تعكس نهجاً عدائياً، وتشكل تصعيداً خطيراً يهدد أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، وتقويضاً ممنهجاً للجهود الدبلوماسية الرامية إلى التهدئة وخفض التصعيد.
وشددت الوزارة على أن دولة الكويت تحتفظ بحقها الكامل في اتخاذ كافة الإجراءات اللازمة لصون سيادتها، وحفظ أمنها، والدفاع عن أراضيها ومنشآتها الحيوية ضد أي عدوان أو تهديد، وذلك استناداً إلى حقها الأصيل في الدفاع عن النفس، وفقاً للمادة 51 من ميثاق الأمم المتحدة وقواعد القانون الدولي.
The General Secretariat of the Arab League condemned the continued Iranian attacks on the State of Kuwait, the latest of which was the missile and drone attack that the country faced yesterday (Thursday), affirming its complete rejection of any infringement on the sovereignty of an Arab state or its security and territorial integrity.
The General Secretariat confirmed its full solidarity with the State of Kuwait and its support for the measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, warning of the serious repercussions of the continued targeting of Arab states' territories, and what this could lead to in terms of escalating tensions and undermining efforts aimed at containing the ongoing escalation in the region.
The Arab League emphasized that targeting Kuwaiti territory represents a concerning development amid rising regional tensions, asserting that the security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Arab states must remain free from the conflicts and military confrontations occurring in the region.
The General Secretariat reiterated its position rejecting the transfer of military conflicts to the territories of Arab states or exposing the security of their peoples, facilities, and resources to danger, calling for an immediate cessation of these attacks and adherence to respecting the sovereignty of Arab states and the integrity of their territories, as well as compliance with the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The Kuwaiti army announced via its account on the X platform yesterday (Thursday) that its air defenses had intercepted "hostile" missile and drone attacks, following the "sinful Iranian aggression." The Kuwait News Agency reported the sounding of alarms in the country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait's condemnation and denunciation, in the strongest terms, of the repeated Iranian attacks on the country, the latest of which occurred early today, in a blatant violation of its sovereignty, and a direct threat to its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents, constituting a serious breach of international law.
The ministry reiterated that the continuation of these blatant attacks reflects an aggressive approach and constitutes a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region, as well as a systematic undermining of diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and reducing tensions.
The ministry emphasized that the State of Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, ensure its security, and defend its territory and vital facilities against any aggression or threat, based on its inherent right to self-defense, in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter and the rules of international law.
