أعرب الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، اليوم (الخميس)، عن قناعته بوجود فرصة لحل الصراع في أوكرانيا، واصفاً تحذيرات كييف بشأن المخاطر التي قد تتعرض لها الطائرات في المجال الجوي الروسي بـ«إرهاب دولة».
وقال بوتين في منتدى اقتصادي في أقصى شرق روسيا: إن عدداً من الدول، بما في ذلك الولايات المتحدة والصين، مستعدة لدعم تسوية سلمية، مضيفاً: «لكن في نهاية المطاف، يجب أن تحل الدولتان المنخرطتان في الصراع (روسيا وأوكرانيا) المشكلة. هذا هو النهج الصحيح».
وأعرب بوتين عن امتنانه لكل من يحاول المساهمة في حل هذه القضية، قائلاً: هل هناك فرصة؟ برأيي، نعم هناك فرصة.
وكان بوتين أكد في وقت سابق أن الاتصالات بين الجانبين الأمريكي والروسي مستمرة، وأن موسكو لا تعارض التعامل مع أي طرف يمكنه المساهمة بصورة إيجابية في مفاوضات أوكرانيا.
وأبدى الرئيس الروسي ترحيبه بالتعامل مع المبعوث الأمريكي ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر، مبيناً أن موسكو ترحب دائماً بالضيوف الأمريكيين.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قد فتح الباب أمام عقد قمة جديدة مع نظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، لكنه ربط اللقاء هذه المرة بوجود استعداد فعلي للتوصل إلى اتفاق سلام ينهي الحرب في أوكرانيا.
من جانبه، قال الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أمس إنه يريد عقد قمة مع بوتين عندما يكونان مستعدين لإبرام اتفاق سلام بشأن أوكرانيا.
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed today (Thursday) his belief that there is an opportunity to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, describing Kyiv's warnings about the risks that aircraft may face in Russian airspace as "state terrorism."
Putin said at an economic forum in the far east of Russia that a number of countries, including the United States and China, are ready to support a peaceful settlement, adding: "But ultimately, the two countries involved in the conflict (Russia and Ukraine) must solve the problem. This is the right approach."
Putin expressed his gratitude to everyone trying to contribute to resolving this issue, saying: "Is there an opportunity? In my opinion, yes, there is an opportunity."
Earlier, Putin confirmed that communications between the American and Russian sides are ongoing, and that Moscow does not oppose dealing with any party that can contribute positively to the Ukraine negotiations.
The Russian president welcomed dealing with American envoy Steve Biegun and Jared Kushner, indicating that Moscow always welcomes American guests.
