اتهم رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي، بنيامين نتنياهو، اليوم (الأحد)، طهران بالسعي إلى استئناف برنامجها النووي وإنتاج قنابل ذرية.
وقال نتنياهو في مؤتمر صحفي: إيران لن تطور سلاحاً نووياً ما دمت موجوداً في منصب رئيس الوزراء، مشدداً على ضرورة إزالة الخطر الإيراني نهائياً وحسم مصير النظام. وأشار إلى أن النظام الإيراني أصبح أضعف بكثير مما كان عليه. وتزامنت تصريحات نتنياهو مع تهديدات إسرائيلية باستئناف ضرب إيران إذا توصلت الولايات المتحدة إلى اتفاق معها.
وقال وزير الطاقة الإسرائيلي إيلي كوهين لصحيفة «يديعوت أحرونوت»: إسرائيل ستضرب إيران حتى إذا توصلت طهران إلى اتفاق مع الولايات المتحدة في حال ارتكبت ما وصفه بـ«خطأ» وحاولت استئناف برنامجها النووي أو برنامج الصواريخ البالستية، موضحاً أن العمل جارٍ، بالتنسيق مع رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي والولايات المتحدة، للدفع نحو إنشاء مسار يتجاوز مضيقَي هرمز وباب المندب معاً.
في غضون ذلك، قال مسؤول أمريكي لموقع «أكسيوس»، اليوم، إن القوات الأمريكية استهدفت منصتَي إطلاق إيرانيتين في جزيرة لارك، بعدما رصدت استعدادات لقوات الحرس الثوري لإطلاق صواريخ محملة بألغام بحرية إلى داخل مضيق هرمز.
في المقابل، ذكرت وكالة «فارس» أنه سُمع دوي انفجارات عنيفة قرب جزيرة لارك، فيما قالت وكالة «تسنيم» إن شخصين قُتلا جراء هجوم أمريكي على الجزيرة وأن الهجوم نفذ بمسيّرة.
وكانت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية قد ذكرت أن ناقلة نفط تعرضت لاستهداف بمقذوف مجهول أثناء عبورها إلى داخل مضيق هرمز، أمس (السبت)، مؤكدة في مذكرة استشارية، أن الواقعة حدثت على بُعد 12 ميلاً بحرياً شمالي مدينة خصب العمانية، لكن لم تُسجل خسائر بشرية أو تأثير بيئي.
The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, accused Tehran today (Sunday) of seeking to resume its nuclear program and produce atomic bombs.
Netanyahu stated in a press conference: Iran will not develop a nuclear weapon as long as I am in the position of Prime Minister, emphasizing the necessity of completely removing the Iranian threat and determining the fate of the regime. He pointed out that the Iranian regime has become much weaker than it was before. Netanyahu's statements coincided with Israeli threats to resume strikes on Iran if the United States reaches an agreement with it.
Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen told the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth": Israel will strike Iran even if Tehran reaches an agreement with the United States if it commits what he described as a "mistake" and attempts to resume its nuclear program or ballistic missile program, clarifying that work is underway, in coordination with the Israeli Prime Minister and the United States, to push for the establishment of a route that bypasses both the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb together.
Meanwhile, an American official told Axios today that U.S. forces targeted two Iranian launch platforms on Lark Island after detecting preparations by the Revolutionary Guard to launch missiles loaded with naval mines into the Strait of Hormuz.
In contrast, the Fars news agency reported that loud explosions were heard near Lark Island, while the Tasnim agency stated that two people were killed as a result of an American attack on the island, and that the attack was carried out by a drone.
The British Maritime Trade Operations Agency had reported that an oil tanker was targeted by an unknown projectile while crossing into the Strait of Hormuz yesterday (Saturday), confirming in an advisory note that the incident occurred 12 nautical miles north of the Omani city of Khasab, but no human losses or environmental impact were recorded.
