كشفت رومانيا، اليوم (الخميس)، تدمير إحدى طائراتها المقاتلة مسيّرة بحرية قرب مشروع للغاز في البحر الأسود.
وأكد وزير الدفاع الروماني رادو ميروتا، في منشور على «فيسبوك»، أن مقاتلة من طراز «إف-16» تصدت للمسيّرة البحرية المحملة بالمتفجرات على بعد مئات الأمتار من مشروع الغاز «نيبتون ديب» في البحر الأسود، مشيراً إلى أن المسيّرة لم تكن آتية من أوكرانيا المجاورة.
جاء ذلك بعد أيام من إعلان وزارة الدفاع الرومانية أن مقاتلة إسبانية تقوم بمهمة في رومانيا في إطار حلف شمال الأطلسي أسقطت مسيّرة خرقت المجال الجوي الروماني قرب الحدود مع أوكرانيا ومولدافيا، مبينة أن اعتراض المسيّرة القادمة من مولدافيا تم بواسطة طائرة «إف-18». وذكرت احتمال سقوط حطام في موقع غير مأهول في منطقة غالاتي قرب الحدود الأوكرانية، وهو ما أكده وزير الدفاع الإسباني خوسيه مانويل ألباريس الذي قال إن سلاح الجو الإسباني أظهر احترافاً استثنائياً في الدفاع عن المجال الجوي الأوروبي.
وتعرضت بولندا ودول البلطيق الواقعة على الخاصرة الشرقية للحلف الأطلسي مراراً لتوغل مسيّرات في مجالها الجوي.
Romania revealed today (Thursday) the destruction of one of its fighter jets, a naval drone, near a gas project in the Black Sea.
Romanian Defense Minister Radu Mircea confirmed in a post on Facebook that an F-16 fighter jet intercepted the explosive-laden naval drone hundreds of meters away from the "Neptun Deep" gas project in the Black Sea, noting that the drone did not originate from neighboring Ukraine.
This came days after the Romanian Ministry of Defense announced that a Spanish fighter jet conducting a mission in Romania as part of NATO shot down a drone that violated Romanian airspace near the borders with Ukraine and Moldova, indicating that the drone coming from Moldova was intercepted by an F-18 aircraft. It mentioned the possibility of debris falling in an uninhabited area in the Galați region near the Ukrainian border, which was confirmed by Spanish Defense Minister José Manuel Albares, who stated that the Spanish Air Force demonstrated exceptional professionalism in defending European airspace.
Poland and the Baltic states, located on the eastern flank of NATO, have repeatedly faced incursions of drones into their airspace.
