وصل وفد أمني عراقي رفيع اليوم (الخميس) إلى السعودية لمناقشة عدد من الملفات الأمنية والقضايا المشتركة.
وذكرت قناتا «العربية» و«الحدث» أن الوفد العراقي الذي وصل السعودية برئاسة مدير مكتب القائد العام للقوات المسلحة الفريق أول الركن عبد الأمير الشمري ورئيس جهاز المخابرات حميد الشطري، وقائد الدفاع الجوي الفريق مهند الأسدي، ورئيس جهاز مكافحة الإرهاب الفريق الركن زيد حوشي، سيبحث مع الجانب السعودي عدداً من الملفات الأمنية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، من بينها الاعتداءات التي تعرضت لها المملكة، وملف الطائرات المسيّرة، فضلاً عن سبل تعزيز التنسيق والتعاون الأمني بين البلدين.
وتزامنت هذه الزيارة مع إعلان السلطات العراقية في وقت سابق اليوم ضبط أكثر من 20 طائرة مسيّرة محلية الصنع كانت معدة للاتجار بها في العاصمة بغداد، بالتزامن مع تشديد الإجراءات الأمنية لمواجهة الاستخدام غير القانوني للطائرات المسيّرة. وقالت وكالة الاستخبارات والتحقيقات الاتحادية التابعة لوزارة الداخلية العراقية إن قواتها ألقت القبض على أربعة أشخاص كانوا بحوزتهم الطائرات المضبوطة، وفق ما نقلت وكالة الأنباء الألمانية. في غضون ذلك، منح رئيس الوزراء العراقي علي الزيدي الفصائل المسلحة مهلة حتى 30 سبتمبر للتخلي عن سلاحها. وذكر مصدران سياسيان عراقيان أن رئيس الحكومة أبلغ القادة السياسيين استعداده للمواجهة والصدام مع الفصائل المتمسّكة بسلاحها في حال أصرت على رفض التعاون بعد انقضاء المهلة.
A high-level Iraqi security delegation arrived in Saudi Arabia today (Thursday) to discuss a number of security files and common issues.
The channels "Al Arabiya" and "Al Hadath" reported that the Iraqi delegation, which arrived in Saudi Arabia headed by the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, the head of the intelligence agency Hamid Al-Shatri, the commander of air defense Lieutenant General Mohannad Al-Asadi, and the head of the counter-terrorism agency, Lieutenant General Zaid Houshi, will discuss with the Saudi side several security files of mutual interest, including the attacks that targeted the Kingdom, the issue of drones, as well as ways to enhance security coordination and cooperation between the two countries.
This visit coincided with the announcement by Iraqi authorities earlier today of the seizure of more than 20 locally made drones that were prepared for trafficking in the capital Baghdad, alongside tightened security measures to combat the illegal use of drones. The Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior stated that its forces arrested four individuals who were in possession of the seized drones, according to the German news agency. Meanwhile, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaydi granted armed factions a deadline until September 30 to relinquish their weapons. Two Iraqi political sources mentioned that the Prime Minister informed political leaders of his readiness to confront and clash with factions that insist on keeping their weapons if they refuse to cooperate after the deadline expires.
