ناقش رئيس الوزراء العراقي علي فالح الزيدي اليوم (الأربعاء)، مع قائد القيادة المركزية الأمريكية تشارلز براد كوبر، الاتفاق الكامل والنهائي على إنهاء المهمة العسكرية للتحالف الدولي.
وأكد الجانبان على «الاتفاق الكامل والنهائي على إنهاء المهمة العسكرية للتحالف الدولي، وفقاً لما تم الاتفاق عليه خلال زيارة رئيس وزراء إلى واشنطن منتصف يوليو الماضي».
وشدد الزيدي على أن العلاقات العراقية الأمريكية ستنتقل نحو التعاون والشراكة في المجالات الاقتصادية والتنموية والأمنية، على أساس الاحترام المتبادل للسيادة والمصالح المشتركة للبلدين.
وقال المكتب الإعلامي لرئيس مجلس الوزراء إن «الزيدي أكد الالتزام بالجداول الزمنية المتفق عليها، التي تقضي بأن يكون يوم 30 سبتمبر القادم موعداً ثابتاً ونهائياً لإنهاء المهمة العسكرية للتحالف الدولي في العراق، واستكمال مغادرة قواته»، مشيراً إلى أن الأول من أكتوبر القادم سيكون يوماً جديداً في مسار الدولة العراقية، وسيكون العراق خالياً من أي وجود عسكري أجنبي واستكمل سيادته الوطنية على أراضيه، وواصل بناء قدراته الأمنية والعسكرية، بما يمكّنه من حماية أمنه واستقراره بنفسه.
ودعا رئيس الوزراء العراقي إلى الالتزام بمبادئ الدستور والثوابت التي تقوم عليها الدولة، والحفاظ على مصالحها العليا، وتوجيه طاقات أبناء الشعب نحو البناء والإعمار والتنمية، موضحاً أن العراق اليوم بحاجة إلى جهود جميع أبنائه لبناء اقتصاد قوي، ودولة مستقرة، ومستقبل أفضل للأجيال القادمة.
وشدد الزيدي على أن «حصر السلاح بيد الدولة، وفقاً للقانون، يحمي الجميع، ويعزز سلطة الدولة وسيادتها، ويضمن الأمن والاستقرار ويمثل شرطاً أساسياً للانتقال بالعراق إلى مرحلة جديدة من التنمية والازدهار».
The Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaydi discussed today (Wednesday) with the Commander of the U.S. Central Command, Charles Brown Cooper, the complete and final agreement to end the military mission of the international coalition.

Al-Zaydi emphasized that Iraqi-American relations will shift towards cooperation and partnership in economic, developmental, and security fields, based on mutual respect for sovereignty and the common interests of both countries.
The media office of the Prime Minister stated that "Al-Zaydi confirmed the commitment to the agreed timelines, which stipulate that September 30 will be a fixed and final date for ending the military mission of the international coalition in Iraq and completing the withdrawal of its forces," noting that October 1 will be a new day in the path of the Iraqi state, and Iraq will be free of any foreign military presence and will have completed its national sovereignty over its territory, continuing to build its security and military capabilities, enabling it to protect its security and stability by itself.
The Iraqi Prime Minister called for adherence to the principles of the constitution and the constants upon which the state is based, preserving its supreme interests, and directing the energies of the people towards construction, reconstruction, and development, explaining that Iraq today needs the efforts of all its citizens to build a strong economy, a stable state, and a better future for the coming generations.
Al-Zaydi emphasized that "restricting arms to the state, according to the law, protects everyone, enhances the authority and sovereignty of the state, ensures security and stability, and represents a fundamental condition for transitioning Iraq to a new phase of development and prosperity."
