In a new escalation, the Yemeni armed forces reported that the Houthi militia has resumed targeting the Al-Mokha port with ballistic missiles today (Wednesday). A Yemeni military source announced that the Houthi militia targeted the Al-Mokha port with two ballistic missiles, and the strikes targeted the port's dock.

The city is witnessing intense aerial activity following a wave of drone strikes and missiles that targeted the port and residential neighborhoods in the city.

The Yemeni Cabinet held a meeting yesterday (Tuesday) in the temporary capital, Aden, to discuss the repercussions of the military escalation by the Houthi militia and to assess its impact on security, economic, and humanitarian sectors.

The council reviewed the Houthi attacks that targeted Al-Mokha port and objectives in Hadramout, Marib, Al-Dhale, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirming that the state will not tolerate attempts to impose a new reality by force.

The Yemeni government called on the international community to change its approach to the crisis and shift from "managing the threat" to striking at the sources of the group's power, primarily Iranian support, emphasizing that restoring state institutions is the only pathway to achieving sustainable peace and protecting international navigation.

The Cabinet confirmed that the continuation of Houthi attacks in recent days reveals the group's decision to expand the scope of tension and test the government's and the international community's ability to deal with this unruly behavior. It stressed that the government will not treat this escalation as a fait accompli, and that attempts to impose new equations by force will only result in further instability.

The government indicated that it will continue to fulfill its responsibilities in protecting citizens, vital facilities, and national interests, and will deal with developments with firmness and strength, as required by its constitutional and national responsibilities.
