أعلنت قوات الطوارئ اليمنية، اليوم (الخميس)، تعرض معسكرها في مأرب لهجوم حوثي، واصفة الهجوم بـ«الغاشم».
وأفاد المركز الإعلامي لقوات الطوارئ على منصة «إكس» أن مليشيا الحوثي استهدفت معسكرات القوات المسلحة عقب نجاحات أمنية في ملاحقة الخلايا الإجرامية وعصابات التهريب، مبينة أن الاستهداف الغاشم طال عدداً من معسكرات ووحدات القوات المسلحة، من بينها معسكرات تابعة لقوات الطوارئ، ما أسفر عن خسائر مادية وبشرية.
وذكرت في بيان أن الاستهداف جاء عقب النجاحات الأمنية والعسكرية التي حققتها القوات المسلحة في تنفيذ مهماتها بتوجيهات من وزير الدفاع، والهادفة إلى تأمين المناطق، وحماية الطرق الدولية، وملاحقة عصابات التقطع والتهريب، وضبط المطلوبين والمتورطين في قضايا الحرابة والاغتيالات والجرائم المنظمة.
وأشارت القوات إلى أن قوات الفرقة الأولى طوارئ، وقوات المنطقة العسكرية الأولى، وقوات درع الوطن، شاركت إلى جانب عدد من وحدات القوات المسلحة والأجهزة الأمنية، ضمن جهود مشتركة لتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار، وتأمين حركة المسافرين، وملاحقة الخلايا الإجرامية والعناصر الخارجة عن القانون.
وذكرت مصادر عسكرية أن معسكرات قوات الفرقة الأولى طوارئ استهدفت بثمانية صواريخ باليستية أطلقتها مليشيا الحوثي، ما أدى إلى سقوط قتلى وجرحى. وكانت الدفاعات الجوية للقوات المسلحة اليمنية أعلنت في وقت سابق اليوم، إسقاط طائرة مسيّرة حوثية فور دخولها أجواء مدينة مأرب.
ونقل المركز الإعلامي للقوات المسلحة، عن مصدر عسكري قوله، إن الدفاعات الجوية تعاملت بكفاءة عالية مع طائرة مسيّرة فور دخولها أجواء المدينة، وتمكنت من إسقاطها بنجاح، مشيدًا بيقظة وجاهزية أبطال القوات المسلحة وقدراتهم العالية في إحباط الهجوم الإرهابي.
وأشار المصدر إلى أن استهداف مليشيا الحوثي الإرهابية محافظة مأرب، التي تحتضن مئات الآلاف من النازحين، يجسد نهجها التصعيدي وإصرارها على مواصلة أعمالها الإرهابية.
The Yemeni emergency forces announced today (Thursday) that their camp in Marib was subjected to a Houthi attack, describing the assault as "brutal."
The media center of the emergency forces reported on the "X" platform that the Houthi militia targeted the armed forces' camps following successful security operations in pursuing criminal cells and smuggling gangs, indicating that the brutal targeting affected several camps and units of the armed forces, including camps belonging to the emergency forces, resulting in material and human losses.
It mentioned in a statement that the targeting came after the security and military successes achieved by the armed forces in carrying out their missions under the directives of the Minister of Defense, aimed at securing the regions, protecting international roads, pursuing kidnapping and smuggling gangs, and apprehending wanted individuals involved in cases of banditry, assassinations, and organized crime.
The forces pointed out that the First Emergency Division, the First Military Region, and the National Shield Forces participated alongside several units of the armed forces and security agencies in joint efforts to enhance security and stability, secure the movement of travelers, and pursue criminal cells and lawless elements.
Military sources reported that the camps of the First Emergency Division were targeted by eight ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi militia, resulting in casualties and injuries. Earlier today, the air defenses of the Yemeni armed forces announced the downing of a Houthi drone as soon as it entered the airspace of Marib city.
The media center of the armed forces quoted a military source stating that the air defenses effectively dealt with the drone as soon as it entered the city's airspace and successfully shot it down, praising the vigilance and readiness of the armed forces' heroes and their high capabilities in thwarting the terrorist attack.
The source indicated that the Houthi terrorist militia's targeting of Marib province, which hosts hundreds of thousands of displaced people, embodies its escalatory approach and insistence on continuing its terrorist activities.
