توعد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب اليوم (السبت)، بإستناف الحرب الواسعة ضد إيران إذا لم يحصل على 100% مما تريده الولايات المتحدة، مؤكداً أن واشنطن لا تزال جاهزة لشن هجوم واسع.
وقال ترمب في مقابلة مع قناة «إل سي أي» الفرنسية: «توقف الضربات مؤقتاً لا يعني أننا تراجعنا»، مضيفاً: «ما زلنا جاهزين لشن هجوم واسع على إيران بحال لم تنفذ ما نريد».
وكان موقع «أكسيوس» قد نقل عن مصدرين إقليميين مطلعين على المفاوضات أن تقدماً تحقق في المحادثات التي يجريها وفد عُماني في طهران، بهدف التوصل إلى ترتيبات جديدة لإعادة فتح مضيق هرمز.
وأفاد المصدران، بأن عُمان وإيران قد تتوصلان إلى اتفاق خلال عطلة نهاية الأسبوع، على أن يُعرض الاتفاق المقترح بعد ذلك على الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب ليقرر ما إذا كانت واشنطن ستقبله.
ولم يصدر عن واشنطن أي تفسير بعد لأسباب وقفها المفاجئ لسلسلة من 13 ليلة من الضربات المتصاعدة منذ انهيار الاتفاق المؤقت، التي جاءت رداً على الهجمات الإيرانية على السفن في مضيق هرمز، غير أن مسؤولاً أمريكياً قال إن واشنطن تدرس عملية خاصة كبرى للاستيلاء على اليورانيوم الإيراني المخصب.
في المقابل هدد الحرس الثوري الإيراني باستهداف أي دولة سواء كانت بريطانيا أو غيرها إذا دعمت أمريكا في الحرب.
واتهم الحرس الثوري أمريكا بانتهاك مذكرة التفاهم وأعلن ممراً آخر لعبور السفن في مضيق هرمز، مشيراً إلى أن مذكرة التفاهم تؤكد أن حركة الملاحة في هرمز تكون وفق الترتيبات التي تعلنها إيران.
في غضون ذلك، قالت وزارة الخارجية الإيرانية، إن الهجوم الأوكراني على سفينة تجارية إيرانية في بحر قزوين أدى إلى انفجار السفينة وسقوط أحد البحارة وإصابة آخر.
U.S. President Donald Trump vowed today (Saturday) to resume the extensive war against Iran if he does not get 100% of what the United States wants, affirming that Washington is still ready to launch a broad attack.
Trump said in an interview with the French channel "LCI": "The temporary halt of strikes does not mean we have backed down," adding: "We are still ready to launch a broad attack on Iran if it does not implement what we want."
The Axios website reported that two regional sources familiar with the negotiations indicated that progress has been made in the talks being held by an Omani delegation in Tehran, aimed at reaching new arrangements to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
The sources stated that Oman and Iran might reach an agreement over the weekend, after which the proposed agreement will be presented to U.S. President Donald Trump to decide whether Washington will accept it.
No explanation has yet been issued by Washington regarding the reasons for its sudden halt of a series of 13 nights of escalating strikes since the collapse of the temporary agreement, which came in response to Iranian attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. However, an American official stated that Washington is considering a major special operation to seize enriched Iranian uranium.
In contrast, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard threatened to target any country, whether Britain or others, if it supports the U.S. in the war.
The Revolutionary Guard accused the U.S. of violating the memorandum of understanding and announced another corridor for the passage of ships in the Strait of Hormuz, indicating that the memorandum of understanding confirms that navigation in Hormuz is according to the arrangements announced by Iran.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that the Ukrainian attack on an Iranian commercial ship in the Caspian Sea led to the ship's explosion and the fall of one sailor, with another injured.
