أكد سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى اليمن محمد آل جابر أن المملكة العربية السعودية ماضية في دعم جميع جهود التهدئة والسلام، ومساندة مساعي المبعوث الأممي للوصول إلى حل سياسي شامل ينهي معاناة الشعب اليمني، مشيراً إلى أن الميليشيا الحوثية الإرهابية لا تزال ترفض مسار السلام، وتتمسك بالتصعيد والعنف خدمةً لأجندات خارجية لا تمت إلى اليمن بصلة ولا تخدم مصالح شعبه.
الحوثيون رهينة لأجندات خارجية
وأوضح آل جابر أن الميليشيا الحوثية حوّلت اليمن إلى ورقة تستخدمها أطراف خارجية لتحقيق مصالحها، على حساب أمن البلاد واستقرارها، في وقت يرزح فيه اليمنيون تحت وطأة الانتهاكات والتجويع والأوضاع الإنسانية المتدهورة في المناطق الخاضعة لسيطرتها.
وأضاف أن الحوثيين يواصلون ترويج مزاعم لا أساس لها من الصحة، ومحاولة تصدير أزماتهم وإخفاقاتهم إلى الخارج، في مسعى للتنصل من مسؤوليتهم المباشرة عن الكارثة الإنسانية التي يعيشها اليمن.
دعم سعودي لفتح مطار صنعاء واستمرار تدفق الإمدادات
وجدد السفير السعودي تأكيد استمرار دعم المملكة لجميع المبادرات الهادفة إلى إعادة تشغيل مطار صنعاء أمام الرحلات التجارية، بما يتيح لليمنيين حرية التنقل والسفر، بعد أن عطلت الميليشيا الحوثية تسيير الرحلات بحجج وصفها بالواهية.
كما شدد على مواصلة المملكة دعم دخول السفن إلى موانئ الحديدة لتلبية احتياجات الشعب اليمني، في الوقت الذي تستمر فيه الميليشيا الحوثية في استهداف السفن التجارية المدنية في البحر الأحمر، بما يشكل تهديداً لحرية الملاحة الدولية وأمن المنطقة.
«السلام لا يصنعه التصعيد»
وأكد آل جابر أن تحقيق السلام في اليمن لا يكون عبر الشعارات أو المراوغات السياسية، وإنما بإرادة حقيقية تضع مصلحة اليمن وشعبه فوق كل اعتبار، وتنبذ العنف والتبعية والأجندات الخارجية التي أطالت أمد الصراع وفاقمت معاناة الملايين.
دعم ثابت للشعب اليمني والحكومة الشرعية
واختتم السفير السعودي بالتأكيد أن المملكة ستواصل، كما عهدها الجميع، دعم الشعب اليمني في مختلف أنحاء البلاد، ومساندة الحكومة الشرعية، حتى ينعم اليمن بالأمن والاستقرار والسلام.
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen, Mohammed Al-Jaber, confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting all efforts for de-escalation and peace, and to assisting the endeavors of the UN envoy to reach a comprehensive political solution that ends the suffering of the Yemeni people, pointing out that the terrorist Houthi militia continues to reject the path of peace and insists on escalation and violence in service of foreign agendas that have no connection to Yemen and do not serve the interests of its people.
The Houthis are hostages to foreign agendas
Al-Jaber explained that the Houthi militia has turned Yemen into a card used by external parties to achieve their interests at the expense of the country's security and stability, while Yemenis are suffering under the weight of violations, starvation, and deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the areas under their control.
He added that the Houthis continue to promote unfounded allegations and attempt to export their crises and failures abroad, in an effort to evade their direct responsibility for the humanitarian catastrophe that Yemen is experiencing.
Saudi support for reopening Sana'a Airport and continuing the flow of supplies
The Saudi ambassador reiterated the Kingdom's continued support for all initiatives aimed at reopening Sana'a Airport to commercial flights, allowing Yemenis the freedom to move and travel, after the Houthi militia disrupted flights under what he described as flimsy pretexts.
He also emphasized the Kingdom's ongoing support for allowing ships to enter the ports of Hodeidah to meet the needs of the Yemeni people, at a time when the Houthi militia continues to target civilian commercial ships in the Red Sea, posing a threat to international navigation and regional security.
"Peace is not achieved through escalation"
Al-Jaber affirmed that achieving peace in Yemen cannot be done through slogans or political maneuvering, but rather through a genuine will that places the interests of Yemen and its people above all else, and rejects violence, dependency, and foreign agendas that have prolonged the conflict and exacerbated the suffering of millions.
Steadfast support for the Yemeni people and the legitimate government
The Saudi ambassador concluded by affirming that the Kingdom will continue, as everyone has known it, to support the Yemeni people throughout the country and to assist the legitimate government until Yemen enjoys security, stability, and peace.
