أعلن مجلس القضاء الأعلى العراقي اليوم (الأربعاء) ضبط 13 مليار دينار (10 ملايين دولار أمريكي)، و400 ألف دولار أمريكي، و40 سبيكة ذهبية في قضية الجميلي بمحافظة صلاح الدين، مؤكداً استرداد أكثر من مليار و143 مليون دينار بجريمة احتيال مالي.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء العراقية (واع) عن قاضي أول محكمة تحقيق الكرخ الثانية المختصة بقضايا النزاهة وغسل الأموال القاضي ضياء جعفر قوله: إن «التحقيقات والملاحقات القضائية بحق الشركات المخالفة التي اتبعت أساليب غير قانونية لنقل الأموال إلى خارج العراق مستمرة»، موضحاً أن المحكمة استردت، اليوم، مبلغاً قدره 1,143,847,719 ديناراً عراقياً، عن جريمة احتيال مالي.
وأضاف أن «هذا الإنجاز تحقق بجهود محكمة تحقيق الكرخ الثانية، وأن الجهود مستمرة لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية بحق بقية الشركات التي اعتمدت وسائل مخالفة للقانون للحصول على أرباح كبيرة، بما يضر بالمال العام».
وفي سياق متصل، أوضح القاضي أن التحقيقات في قضية المتهم الموقوف وكيل وزارة النفط لشؤون التصفية عدنان الجميلي أسفرت عن ضبط مبلغ قدره 13 مليار دينار عراقي، و400 ألف دولار أمريكي كانت مخبأة في عدد من الأماكن بمحافظة صلاح الدين، فضلاً عن ضبط 40 سبيكة ذهبية بوزن كيلوغرام واحد لكل سبيكة، إضافة إلى مصوغات ذهبية يبلغ وزنها 5 كيلوغرامات.
وأضاف أن «التحقيقات الجارية في قضية المتهم الموقوف عدنان الجميلي ما زالت مستمرة ضمن إجراءات متابعة متحصلات الجريمة والمتورطين فيها».
في غضون ذلك، أجرى رئيس الوزراء العراقي القائد العام للقوات المسلحة علي الزيدي، سلسلة تغييرات واسعة في عدد من المناصب العسكرية والأمنية خلال الـ24 ساعة الماضية، شملت قيادات بارزة في الأجهزة الأمنية، وسط توقعات بموجة تغييرات إضافية خلال الفترة القادمة.
The Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council announced today (Wednesday) the seizure of 13 billion dinars (10 million US dollars), 400,000 US dollars, and 40 gold bars in the Al-Jumaili case in Salah al-Din province, confirming the recovery of more than 1 billion and 143 million dinars in a financial fraud crime.
The Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported from the judge of the Second Karkh Investigation Court, which specializes in integrity and money laundering cases, Judge Diaa Jafar, stating that "investigations and judicial proceedings against the violating companies that used illegal methods to transfer money outside Iraq are ongoing," explaining that the court recovered today an amount of 1,143,847,719 Iraqi dinars related to a financial fraud crime.
He added that "this achievement was made possible by the efforts of the Second Karkh Investigation Court, and that efforts are ongoing to take legal action against the remaining companies that employed illegal means to gain large profits, harming public funds."
In a related context, the judge clarified that the investigations into the case of the detained Oil Ministry Undersecretary for Refining Affairs, Adnan Al-Jumaili, resulted in the seizure of an amount of 13 billion Iraqi dinars and 400,000 US dollars hidden in several locations in Salah al-Din province, in addition to seizing 40 gold bars weighing one kilogram each, as well as gold jewelry weighing 5 kilograms.
He added that "the ongoing investigations in the case of the detained Adnan Al-Jumaili are still continuing as part of the procedures to track the proceeds of the crime and those involved in it."
Meanwhile, Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ali Al-Zaydi conducted a series of extensive changes in several military and security positions over the past 24 hours, including prominent leaders in the security apparatus, amid expectations of additional waves of changes in the coming period.
