أدانت دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة بأشد العبارات تصريحات جماعة الحوثي تجاه المملكة العربية السعودية، وما تضمنته من تهديدات بحظر الملاحة البحرية على المملكة.
ودعت وزارة الخارجية الإماراتية، في بيان لها، المجتمع الدولي إلى ضمان تنفيذ قرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة، ولا سيما القرار رقم 2216 بشأن اليمن، والقرار رقم 2722 بشأن حقوق وحرية الملاحة في البحر الأحمر، مؤكدة أن حرية الملاحة في الممرات المائية الدولية حق يكفله القانون الدولي واتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار لعام 1982.
وأكدت الوزارة تضامن دولة الإمارات الكامل مع المملكة العربية السعودية، ودعمها في كل ما من شأنه حفظ أمنها واستقرارها.
The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the statements made by the Houthi group regarding the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which included threats to ban maritime navigation in the Kingdom.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, called on the international community to ensure the implementation of relevant Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216 concerning Yemen and Resolution 2722 regarding the rights and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, emphasizing that freedom of navigation in international waterways is a right guaranteed by international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 1982.
The ministry affirmed the UAE's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all that would preserve its security and stability.
