أعلنت وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية اليوم (الإثنين) بدء عمليات المناطق التجريبية في قرى فرون وصريفا وزوطر الغربية، وذلك وفقاً للإطار الثلاثي وتحت رعاية مجموعة التنسيق العسكرية الخاصة بلبنان.
وأوضحت الوزارة في بيان أن هذه الخطوة المهمة تعد نتيجة مباشرة للمناقشات التي جرت الأسبوع الماضي في روما بين إسرائيل ولبنان، مؤكدة أن الولايات المتحدة ستواصل العمل عن كثب مع كلا الطرفين لتنفيذ هذا الإطار وتحقيق نتائج ناجحة.
في غضون ذلك، نقل موقع أكسيوس الأمريكي عن مسؤول إسرائيلي قوله: إن انسحاب الجيش الإسرائيلي من المناطق التجريبية في جنوب لبنان سيتم (الثلاثاء).
وفي سياق متصل، طالبت قيادة الجيش اللبناني المواطنين اليوم بعدم التوجه إلى بلدة زوطر الغربية وذلك لتواصل عمليات التنسيق العسكري هناك.
قال بيان الجيش: «تواصل الوحدات العسكرية تنفيذ مهماتها في المناطق الجنوبية بما فيها بلدتا فرون - بنت جبيل وصريفا – صور. وفي موازاة ذلك، تجري المتابعة مع مجموعة التنسيق العسكري الخاصة بلبنان MCG4L ليصار إلى بدء الانتشار في بلدة زوطر الغربية - النبطية بعد انسحاب الاحتلال الإسرائيلي منها، وبناء عليه، تدعو قيادة الجيش المواطنين إلى عدم التوجه إلى بلدة زوطر الغربية، والتقيد بتوجيهات الوحدات العسكرية المنتشرة حفاظاً على سلامتهم.»
بدوره، شدد رئيس مجلس النواب اللبناني نبيه بري على ضرورة التمسك بتثبيت وقف إطلاق النار وضمان الانسحاب الإسرائيلي الكامل من الأراضي الجنوبية المحتلة.
وأعرب بري عن أمله في أن «يفضي لقاء الرئيس عون مع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب إلى تحقيق نتائج إيجابية وجدية لصالح تحرير لبنان وتحصيل حقوقه الثابتة التي نتمسك بها»، مبيناً أن ما يهمه هو «الوصول بالفعل إلى حل حقيقي».
وتوجّه الرئيس اللبناني عون إلى واشنطن، السبت الماضي، تلبية لدعوة من الرئيس الأمريكي، والتقى أمس وزير الخارجية ماركو روبيو، على أن يستقبله الرئيس ترمب غداً (الثلاثاء) في البيت الأبيض.
ويأتي اجتماع الثلاثاء في لحظة حاسمة بالنسبة للبنان، إذ تحتل إسرائيل مساحة واسعة من جنوب البلاد، ولا يزال مئات الآلاف من اللبنانيين نازحين في أعقاب ضربات إسرائيلية، بينما يرفض حزب الله بشدة المحادثات المباشرة التي تجريها الحكومة مع إسرائيل وجهود الدولة لنزع سلاح الحزب.
وكانت وكالة الأنباء اللبنانية قد قالت في وقت سابق اليوم إن انفجاراً ضخماً وقع في بلدة كفرتبنيت وهزّ منطقة النبطية، مؤكدة أن جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي يقف خلفه.
وأوضحت الوكالة أن الانفجار ناجم عن عملية تفجير ضخمة قام بها جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي في بلدة كفرتبنيت، وأن سحب دخان كثيفة تصاعدت من البلدة وشوهدت من مسافات بعيدة.
The U.S. Department of State announced today (Monday) the commencement of operations in the experimental zones in the villages of Frun, Sarifa, and Zoutar al-Gharbi, in accordance with the tripartite framework and under the auspices of the military coordination group for Lebanon.
The department clarified in a statement that this significant step is a direct result of the discussions that took place last week in Rome between Israel and Lebanon, emphasizing that the United States will continue to work closely with both parties to implement this framework and achieve successful outcomes.
Meanwhile, the American Axios website quoted an Israeli official as saying that the Israeli army's withdrawal from the experimental zones in southern Lebanon will take place (Tuesday).
For his part, Lebanese Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri emphasized the necessity of adhering to the establishment of a ceasefire and ensuring the complete Israeli withdrawal from the occupied southern territories.
Berri expressed hope that "the meeting between President Aoun and U.S. President Donald Trump will lead to positive and serious results in favor of liberating Lebanon and securing its established rights that we hold onto," indicating that what matters to him is "actually reaching a real solution."
Lebanese President Aoun traveled to Washington last Saturday in response to an invitation from the U.S. President, and met yesterday with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, with President Trump scheduled to receive him tomorrow (Tuesday) at the White House.
The Tuesday meeting comes at a critical moment for Lebanon, as Israel occupies a large area of the southern part of the country, and hundreds of thousands of Lebanese remain displaced following Israeli strikes, while Hezbollah strongly rejects the direct talks being held by the government with Israel and the state's efforts to disarm the party.
Earlier today, the Lebanese news agency reported that a massive explosion occurred in the town of Kfar Tebnit, shaking the Nabatieh area, confirming that the Israeli occupation army is behind it.
