صرّح مصدر عسكري مسؤول في القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة الأردنية، بأن منظومات الدفاع الجوي أسقطت فجر اليوم ثمانية صواريخ إيرانية كانت تستهدف أراضي المملكة.
وأكد المصدر العسكري، نقلاً عن وكالة أنباء «بترا»، أن عملية الاعتراض نُفّذت في إطار الإجراءات الدفاعية والعملياتية المعتمدة، صوناً لسيادة المملكة وحمايةً لأجوائها وضماناً لسلامة المواطنين.
وبيّن أنه لم تسفر تلك الحوادث عن أي إصابات أو أضرار مادية، فيما تعاملت فرق سلاح الهندسة الملكي مع الشظايا التي سقطت في عدد من المواقع، وأمّنتها وفق الإجراءات الفنية والأمنية.
وشدد المصدر على أن القوات المسلحة تواصل مراقبة الأجواء بأعلى درجات الجاهزية، مؤكداً أنها ستتعامل مع أي تهديد وفق قواعد الاشتباك المعتمدة.
ودعا المواطنين إلى استقاء المعلومات من المصادر الرسمية وعدم تداول الشائعات أو الأخبار غير الموثوقة.
A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces stated that the air defense systems intercepted eight Iranian missiles targeting the territory of the Kingdom early this morning.
The military source confirmed, citing the Petra News Agency, that the interception operation was carried out as part of the established defensive and operational procedures, in order to preserve the sovereignty of the Kingdom, protect its airspace, and ensure the safety of citizens.
He indicated that these incidents did not result in any injuries or material damage, while the Royal Engineering Corps dealt with the debris that fell in several locations and secured it according to technical and security procedures.
The source emphasized that the armed forces continue to monitor the skies with the highest levels of readiness, confirming that they will respond to any threat according to the established rules of engagement.
He urged citizens to obtain information from official sources and not to circulate rumors or unreliable news.
