أعلن الجيش الكويتي اليوم (الخميس) إحباط هجوم إيراني بأربعة صواريخ و10 طائرات مسيرة، ما أسفر عن إصابة شخص واحد.
وصرّح المتحدث باسم وزارة الدفاع، العقيد الركن سعود عبدالعزيز العطوان، بأن القوات المسلحة رصدت فجر اليوم 3 صواريخ باليستية، وصاروخ جوال واحد، و10 طائرات مسيّرة معادية داخل المجال الجوي الكويتي، وقد تم اعتراضها والتعامل معها بنجاح.
وأوضح أن العدوان تسبب في وقوع أضرار مادية نتيجة سقوط شظايا في عدد من المواقع بالبلاد، إضافة إلى تسجيل إصابة بشرية واحدة، حيث يتلقى المصاب الرعاية الطبية اللازمة، وحالته مستقرة.
وأشار إلى أن مجموعة التفتيش والتخلص من المتفجرات التابعة لهندسة القوة البرية قامت بالتعامل مع عدد من البلاغات المتعلقة بمخلفات عمليات الاعتراض.
وأكدت القوات المسلحة الكويتية استمرارها في أداء مهماتها وواجباتها بكفاءة واقتدار، في إطار الجاهزية المستمرة والاستعداد الدائم، بما يعزز أمن الوطن ويحفظ سلامة المواطنين والمقيمين.
وأشار الجيش الكويتي إلى أن حصيلة الصواريخ التي تصدى لها الدفاع الجوي منذ بدء العدوان الإيراني ارتفعت إلى 386 صاروخاً باليستياً، و16 صاروخاً جوالاً، و916 مسيرة.
وكان الجيش الإيراني قد أقر في وقت سابق اليوم بتنفيذ هجمات على البحرين والكويت وقطر.
The Kuwaiti army announced today (Thursday) the thwarting of an Iranian attack involving four missiles and 10 drones, resulting in one person being injured.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaween, stated that the armed forces detected three ballistic missiles, one cruise missile, and 10 hostile drones within Kuwaiti airspace at dawn today, all of which were successfully intercepted and dealt with.
He explained that the aggression caused material damage due to debris falling in several locations across the country, in addition to recording one human injury, with the injured person receiving the necessary medical care and their condition being stable.
He pointed out that the inspection and explosive disposal team from the Ground Forces Engineering dealt with several reports related to the remnants of the interception operations.
The Kuwaiti armed forces confirmed their continued performance of their missions and duties with efficiency and capability, within the framework of ongoing readiness and constant preparedness, which enhances the security of the homeland and ensures the safety of citizens and residents.
The Kuwaiti army noted that the total number of missiles intercepted by air defense since the onset of the Iranian aggression has risen to 386 ballistic missiles, 16 cruise missiles, and 916 drones.
The Iranian army had earlier acknowledged today that it carried out attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar.
