كشف موقع «واللا» الإسرائيلي أن تل أبيب تستعد لاحتمال استئناف القتال مع إيران. وأفاد الموقع أن الجيش الإسرائيلي عقد هذا الأسبوع اجتماعاً تنسيقياً مع القيادة المركزية الأمريكية (سنتكوم) استعداداً لسيناريو تجدد المواجهات.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أعلن، اليوم الأربعاء، أن الهدنة مع إيران انتهت، وذلك بعد أن شنت واشنطن ضربات على إيران.
وقال ترمب خلال قمة حلف شمال الأطلسي في أنقرة، رداً على سؤال عما إذا كانت الهدنة مع إيران قد انتهت: «بالنسبة لي، الأمر انتهى»، مضيفاً أن «التعامل معهم مجرد مضيعة للوقت». وأضاف: «إنهم مرضى يقودهم مرضى، وهم أشخاص شرسون وعنيفون. ولو كان بحوزتهم سلاح نووي، لاستعملوه».
وأشار ترمب إلى أنه سيتحدث مع المبعوثين ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر، اللذين كانا يتفاوضان مع الإيرانيين، لكنه شدد على أن الأمر متروك لطهران للعودة إلى طاولة المفاوضات. وتابع: «بالنسبة لي، التعامل معهم مضيعة للوقت. إنهم كاذبون».
واتهم ترمب الإيرانيين بتكرار تحريف ما تم الاتفاق عليه في مذكرة التفاهم التي وقعتها واشنطن وطهران في 17 يونيو.
وقال الرئيس الأمريكي: «الجميع متفق على عدم امتلاك أسلحة نووية. نبرم اتفاقاً، ثم يخرجون إلى الصحافة ويقولون إننا لم نتحدث عن ذلك أصلاً هناك شيء غير طبيعي لديهم، إنهم مجانين».
يذكر أن الولايات المتحدة شنت، أمس الثلاثاء، ضربات على أكثر من 80 هدفاً في إيران رداً على هجمات إيرانية استهدفت سفناً تجارية في مضيق هرمز.
ثم أعلنت طهران، اليوم، مهاجمة الكويت والبحرين، رداً على ضربات واشنطن.
كما ألغت الولايات المتحدة الرفع المؤقت للعقوبات على النفط الإيراني عقب الهجمات على السفن.
ويتبادل الطرفان الاتهامات بخرق مذكرة التفاهم الموقعة في 17 يونيو لإنهاء الحرب التي بدأت في 28 فبراير بضربات أمريكية إسرائيلية على إيران.
The Israeli website "Walla" revealed that Tel Aviv is preparing for the possibility of resuming fighting with Iran. The site reported that the Israeli army held a coordination meeting this week with the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) in preparation for a scenario of renewed confrontations.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that the truce with Iran has ended, following Washington's strikes on Iran.
Trump said during a NATO summit in Ankara, in response to a question about whether the truce with Iran had ended: "For me, it’s over," adding that "dealing with them is just a waste of time." He continued: "They are sick people led by sick people, and they are fierce and violent. If they had nuclear weapons, they would use them."
Trump indicated that he would speak with envoys Steve Mnuchin and Jared Kushner, who were negotiating with the Iranians, but emphasized that it is up to Tehran to return to the negotiating table. He added: "For me, dealing with them is a waste of time. They are liars."
Trump accused the Iranians of repeatedly distorting what was agreed upon in the memorandum of understanding signed by Washington and Tehran on June 17.
The U.S. president stated: "Everyone agrees on not having nuclear weapons. We make an agreement, then they go to the press and say we never talked about that. There is something abnormal about them; they are crazy."
It is worth noting that the United States launched strikes on more than 80 targets in Iran on Tuesday in response to Iranian attacks targeting commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Tehran then announced today that it attacked Kuwait and Bahrain in response to Washington's strikes.
The United States also revoked the temporary lifting of sanctions on Iranian oil following the attacks on the ships.
Both sides are exchanging accusations of violating the memorandum of understanding signed on June 17 to end the war that began on February 28 with U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran.
