أبدى الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب اليوم (الأحد)، استعداد بلاده لاستئناف جهود إنهاء حرب أوكرانيا، خلال اتصالين منفصلين مع الرئيسين الروسي فلاديمير بوتين والأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي.
وأوضح مستشار الكرملين يوري أوشاكوف، أن ترمب عرض خلال محادثة هاتفية مع بوتين استمرت قرابة 90 دقيقة، المساعدة في إيجاد حل للحرب في أوكرانيا، مبيناً أن ترمب قال إن المبعوثين الأمريكيين ستيف ويتكوف وجاريد كوشنر سيواصلان جهودهما للتوسط في التوصل إلى تسوية، وهما مستعدان للقيام بزيارة أخرى إلى موسكو.
وقال أوشاكوف: «الرئيس الأمريكي أكد مجدداً استعداده للعمل من أجل إنهاء القتال بسرعة وإيجاد حلول للتغلب على الأزمة»، واصفاً المحادثة بـ«البناءة للغاية».
وأضاف: موسكو تسعى إلى حل سياسي ودبلوماسي للصراع، مع مراعاة النهج الأساسي لروسيا، متهماً كييف وحلفاءها الأوروبيين بالاعتماد على إطالة أمد الصراع بل وتصعيده.
وقال أوشاكوف إن بوتين «وصف الوضع الحقيقي على ساحة المعركة حيث تتقدم القوات المسلحة الروسية بثقة، وتحرر منطقة تلو الأخرى»، مبيناً أن بوتين عبّر خلال المحادثة عن أمله في أن تؤدي الجهود الدبلوماسية الأمريكية في الصراع مع إيران إلى التوصل إلى حلول طويلة الأمد مقبولة للطرفين بشأن القضايا الرئيسية للتسوية.
ولفت أوشاكوف إلى أن بوتين ذكّر ترمب أيضاً بأن دعوته لزيارة موسكو لا تزال قائمة. في المقابل، أعلن الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي، أنه تحدث إلى ترمب، واصفاً المحادثة بـ«الجيدة جداً».
وقال زيلينسكي: المحادثة تضمنت مناقشة حول خط الجبهة الذي يمتد لمسافة 1200 كيلومتر، مضيفاً: «هناك احتمال حقيقي لإنهاء هذه الحرب، وسيكون للعزم الأمريكي أهمية حاسمة».
وأشار الرئيس الأوكراني إلى أنه اتفق مع ترمب على مواصلة المناقشات خلال اجتماع حلف شمال الأطلسي.
وجاءت الاتصالات بعد حديث موسكو الجمعة عن استيلاء قواتها على مدينة كوستيانتينيفكا ذات الأهمية الإستراتيجية في منطقة دونيتسك بشرق أوكرانيا، وهو الأمر الذي نفاه زيلينسكي وهيئة الأركان العامة الأوكرانية، قائلين إن القوات الأوكرانية لا تزال تسيطر على المدينة.
U.S. President Donald Trump expressed today (Sunday) his country's readiness to resume efforts to end the war in Ukraine during separate calls with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Kremlin advisor Yuri Ushakov explained that Trump offered during a nearly 90-minute phone conversation with Putin to help find a solution to the war in Ukraine, noting that Trump said that U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner would continue their efforts to mediate a settlement and are prepared to make another visit to Moscow.
Ushakov stated: "The U.S. President reaffirmed his readiness to work towards ending the fighting quickly and finding solutions to overcome the crisis," describing the conversation as "very constructive."
He added: Moscow is seeking a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict, taking into account Russia's fundamental approach, accusing Kyiv and its European allies of relying on prolonging and even escalating the conflict.
Ushakov said that Putin "described the real situation on the battlefield where the Russian armed forces are confidently advancing, liberating one area after another," noting that Putin expressed during the conversation his hope that U.S. diplomatic efforts in the conflict with Iran would lead to long-term solutions acceptable to both sides regarding the key issues of settlement.
Ushakov pointed out that Putin also reminded Trump that his invitation to visit Moscow remains open. In contrast, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he spoke with Trump, describing the conversation as "very good."
Zelensky said: The conversation included a discussion about the front line that extends for 1,200 kilometers, adding: "There is a real possibility of ending this war, and U.S. determination will be crucial."
The Ukrainian president noted that he agreed with Trump to continue discussions during the NATO meeting.
The calls came after Moscow spoke on Friday about its forces seizing the strategically important city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, which Zelensky and the Ukrainian General Staff denied, stating that Ukrainian forces still control the city.
