حسم الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا» الجدل حول إمكانية معاقبة مدرب منتخب مصر حسام حسن بسبب رفعه علم فلسطين عقب الفوز على أستراليا بركلات الترجيح (الجمعة) الماضي، ضمن منافسات دور الـ32 من بطولة كأس العالم 2026، المقامة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا والمكسيك.
وذكرت تقارير صحفية خلال الساعات الماضية أن رفع حسام حسن علم فلسطين قد يمثل تحدياً لقواعد الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا»، التي تحظر أو تقيد الرسائل السياسية في المباريات، مما يعرضه لخطر توقيع عقوبات عليه.
وأكّد «فيفا» لوكالة «أسوشيتد برس»: «يسمح برفع الأعلام التي تمثل جميع الاتحادات الأعضاء في فيفا، البالغ عددها 211 اتحاداً، في بطولات فيفا، ونرحب أيضاً بعرضها من قبل المشجعين وفقاً للوائح الملعب وقواعد السلوك الخاصة بملاعب فيفا».
وقاد حسام حسن منتخب مصر لتجاوز دور المجموعات للمرة الأولى في تاريخ مشاركاته في البطولة، بعد احتلال وصافة المجموعة السابعة برصيد خمس نقاط، ثم واصل كتابة التاريخ بتجاوز أستراليا في دور الـ32، ويحلم المدرب المصري بمواصلة المشوار وتخطي حامل لقب النسخة الماضية، منتخب الأرجنتين، رغم صعوبة المهمة.
The International Football Federation "FIFA" has settled the debate regarding the possibility of punishing Egypt's national team coach Hossam Hassan for raising the Palestinian flag after winning against Australia in a penalty shootout last Friday, during the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup, held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Recent media reports have indicated that Hossam Hassan raising the Palestinian flag could pose a challenge to FIFA's regulations, which prohibit or restrict political messages in matches, putting him at risk of facing penalties.
FIFA confirmed to the Associated Press: "The raising of flags representing all 211 member associations of FIFA is allowed at FIFA tournaments, and we also welcome their display by fans in accordance with stadium regulations and FIFA's code of conduct."
Hossam Hassan led the Egyptian national team to advance past the group stage for the first time in the history of their participation in the tournament, finishing second in Group G with five points, and then continued to make history by overcoming Australia in the Round of 32. The Egyptian coach dreams of continuing the journey and surpassing the defending champions of the last edition, the Argentine national team, despite the difficulty of the task.
