في خطوة تنموية جديدة تعكس استمرار الأيادي البيضاء للمملكة العربية السعودية في إسناد الشعب اليمني ودعم استقراره، بدأت السلطة المحلية بمحافظة المهرة والبرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، الترتيبات الإجرائية النهائية لبدء مرحلة التشغيل الأولي لـ«مدينة الملك سلمان الطبية والتعليمية»، بالتوازي مع مناقشة حزمة من المشاريع التنموية والخدمية والحيوية التي تنفذها المملكة في المحافظة.
واستقبل محافظ المهرة محمد علي ياسر، وفد البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن برئاسة مساعد المشرف العام على البرنامج المهندس حسن العطاس، وبحضور مدير مكتب البرنامج بالمحافظة المهندس عبدالله باسليمان.
ورحب المحافظ بوفد البرنامج السعودي، مشيداً بمستوى الشراكة الإستراتيجية والتعاون المثمر بين السلطة المحلية والبرنامج في إنجاز المشاريع الحيوية التي تسهم بشكل ملموس في تعزيز التنمية وتحسين جودة الخدمات المقدمة للمواطنين.
وثمّن ياسر الدعم السخي واللامحدود الذي تقدمه القيادة في المملكة، معرباً عن شكره لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي عهده رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان.
وأكد المحافظ أن هذه المواقف الأخوية الصادقة ستظل محفورة في وجدان أبناء اليمن، مشيداً في الوقت ذاته بجهود سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى اليمن والمشرف العام على البرنامج السعودي محمد سعيد آل جابر، في متابعة وإنجاز هذه المشاريع الإستراتيجية.
واستمع المحافظ إلى شرحٍ مفصل من مساعد المشرف العام المهندس حسن العطاس حول الترتيبات النهائية لتشغيل هذا الصرح الطبي والتعليمي العملاق، مؤكداً أنه تم تسليم المنشأة رسمياً للشركة المشغلة تمهيداً لبدء مرحلة التشغيل الأولي التي ستستمر ما بين شهرين إلى ثلاثة أشهر، وتتضمن تدريب وتأهيل الكوادر الطبية والفنية والإدارية على أحدث الأجهزة والمعدات، لضمان الجاهزية الكاملة والقصوى للمنشأة قبل التدشين الرسمي واستقبال المرضى من أبناء المهرة والمحافظات المجاورة.
وأشار العطاس إلى أن عقد تشغيل المستشفى يمتد لثلاث سنوات بتمويل كامل من المملكة عبر البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن، موضحاً أن المدينة الطبية ستوفر خدمات تخصصية متقدمة تشمل، الطوارئ، والعيادات الخارجية، والتنويم، والعمليات الجراحية، والعناية المركزة، إضافة إلى منظومة تشخيصية متكاملة (مختبرات وأشعة متطورة)، وصيدلية، وخدمات مساندة كـ(التعقيم المركزي، بنك الدم، التغذية، الإسعاف، إدارة السجلات الطبية) وفق أعلى معايير الجودة العالمية.
وفي السياق ذاته اطلع محافظ المهرة على آليات استقطاب الكوادر البشرية للعمل في المدينة الطبية، وجرى التأكيد على منح الأولوية الكاملة لأبناء محافظة المهرة وفق معايير دقيقة ترتكز على الكفاءة، الاستحقاق، والشفافية، بما يضمن استقطاب الكفاءات المؤهلة لتقديم خدمات صحية متميزة.
كما شهد اللقاء استعراض عدد من المشاريع الإستراتيجية المستقبلية التي تتطلع إليها المحافظة، وفي مقدمتها المرحلة الثانية للمدينة الطبية والمتمثلة في إنشاء كلية العلوم الصحية لتأهيل الكوادر الطبية محلياً ورفد القطاع الصحي بالكفاءات المتخصصة. كما تطرق اللقاء إلى عدد من الملفات الخدمية، من بينها أوضاع الكهرباء واحتياجات الوقود، ودراسة إنشاء محطة طاقة شمسية بقدرة 50 ميغاوات، إضافة إلى مشاريع الطرق والمياه، وفي مقدمتها مشروع طريق (الغيضة – تريم) الإستراتيجي، والسبل الكفيلة بتعزيز البنية التحتية.
وفي ختام اللقاء جدد وفد البرنامج السعودي لتنمية وإعمار اليمن تأكيده على استمرار الدعم التنموي والخدمي للمحافظة، والعمل التكاملي مع السلطة المحلية لتنفيذ المشاريع ذات الأولوية القصوى التي تلبي تطلعات المواطنين وتدعم ركائز التنمية المستدامة.
In a new developmental step that reflects the ongoing support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Yemeni people and the stability of Yemen, the local authority in Al-Mahrah Governorate, along with the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, has begun the final procedural arrangements to start the initial operational phase of the "King Salman Medical and Educational City," in parallel with discussions on a package of developmental, service, and vital projects being implemented by the Kingdom in the governorate.
Al-Mahrah Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser received the delegation from the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, headed by the Assistant Supervisor General of the program, Engineer Hassan Al-Attas, and in the presence of the program's office director in the governorate, Engineer Abdullah Basleiman.
The governor welcomed the Saudi program delegation, praising the level of strategic partnership and fruitful cooperation between the local authority and the program in accomplishing vital projects that significantly contribute to enhancing development and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
Yasser appreciated the generous and unlimited support provided by the leadership in the Kingdom, expressing his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
The governor affirmed that these sincere brotherly positions will remain etched in the hearts of the Yemeni people, while also commending the efforts of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen and the General Supervisor of the Saudi program, Mohammed Saeed Al-Jaber, in following up and accomplishing these strategic projects.
Yasser listened to a detailed explanation from Assistant Supervisor General Engineer Hassan Al-Attas regarding the final arrangements for operating this giant medical and educational edifice, confirming that the facility has been officially handed over to the operating company in preparation for the start of the initial operational phase, which will last between two to three months, and includes training and qualifying medical, technical, and administrative staff on the latest devices and equipment, to ensure full and maximum readiness of the facility before the official inauguration and receiving patients from Al-Mahrah and neighboring governorates.
Al-Attas pointed out that the hospital's operating contract extends for three years, fully funded by the Kingdom through the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, explaining that the medical city will provide advanced specialized services including emergency, outpatient clinics, inpatient services, surgeries, and intensive care, in addition to a comprehensive diagnostic system (advanced laboratories and imaging), a pharmacy, and supporting services such as (central sterilization, blood bank, nutrition, ambulance, and medical records management) according to the highest global quality standards.
In this context, the Governor of Al-Mahrah reviewed the mechanisms for attracting human resources to work in the medical city, and it was confirmed that full priority would be given to the people of Al-Mahrah Governorate based on precise criteria focused on competence, merit, and transparency, ensuring the recruitment of qualified talents to provide distinguished health services.
The meeting also witnessed a review of several future strategic projects that the governorate aspires to, foremost among them the second phase of the medical city, which involves establishing a College of Health Sciences to locally qualify medical staff and support the health sector with specialized competencies. The meeting also addressed several service files, including electricity conditions and fuel needs, and the study of establishing a solar power station with a capacity of 50 megawatts, in addition to road and water projects, notably the strategic (Al-Ghaydah - Tarim) road project, and ways to enhance infrastructure.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation from the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen reaffirmed its commitment to continue developmental and service support for the governorate, and to work collaboratively with the local authority to implement priority projects that meet the aspirations of citizens and support the pillars of sustainable development.
