أعلن الجيش الكويتي، اليوم الأحد، أن الدفاعات الجوية تصدّت لهجمات صاروخية وطائرات مسيّرة معادية، في حين أكدت وزارة الداخلية البحرينية إطلاق صفارات الإنذار.
وقالت رئاسة الأركان العامة للجيش الكويتي إن أصوات الانفجارات -إن سُمعت- فهي ناتجة عن اعتراض منظومات الدفاع الجوي للهجمات المعادية، داعية الجميع إلى التقيد بتعليمات الأمن والسلامة الصادرة عن الجهات المختصة.
ودانت وزارة الخارجية الكويتية الاعتداءات الإيرانية المتكررة، واعتبرتها انتهاكاً صارخاً لسيادة الكويت وتهديداً مباشراً لأمنها. وأضافت أن مواصلة إيران لاعتداءاتها تقويض للمساعي الهادفة إلى خفض التصعيد في المنطقة.
من جانبها، أعلنت وزارة الداخلية البحرينية إطلاق صفارات الإنذار خلال فترتين مختلفتين، داعية المواطنين والمقيمين إلى الهدوء، والتوجه إلى أقرب مكان آمن، ومتابعة الأخبار عبر القنوات الرسمية. وقالت قوة دفاع البحرين إن منظومات الدفاع الجوي اعترضت عدداً من الاعتداءات الجوية الإيرانية.
وأضافت أن إيران تواصل نهجها العدائي عبر اعتداءاتها بالصواريخ والمسيّرات على المدنيين. وأكدت الداخلية البحرينية وقوع أضرار مادية بمبنى سكني في محافظة المحرق من دون خسائر في الأرواح جراء الاعتداء الإيراني.
وأعربت الخارجية البحرينية، في بيان نقلته وكالة أنباء البحرين، عن إدانتها «بأشد العبارات» للهجوم، مؤكدة أن استمرار هذه الاعتداءات «يلقي على النظام الإيراني مسؤولية تقويض السلام».
ودان الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون الخليجي جاسم البديوي «بأشد العبارات الهجمات الإيرانية الإرهابية على البحرين والكويت، بعدد من الصواريخ البالستية والطائرات المسيرة».
وقال البديوي في بيان، اليوم الأحد: إن هذه الهجمات الغادرة تعد تهديداً مباشراً لأمن واستقرار وسلامة المواطنين والمقيمين على أراضي البحرين والكويت، وخرقاً واضحاً لقواعد القانون الدولي وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، في ظل مساعي الجهود الدولية والإقليمية الساعية لترسيخ الأمن والسلام وحل الأزمة، وأن استمرار هذه الهجمات الإيرانية تقوض هذه المساعي والجهود.
وأكد دعم مجلس التعاون لكافة الإجراءات التي تتخذها البحرين والكويت لتعزيز أمنهما وصون سيادتهما وحماية شعبيهما والمقيمين على أراضيهما.
The Kuwaiti army announced today, Sunday, that the air defenses have repelled hostile missile and drone attacks, while the Bahraini Ministry of Interior confirmed the activation of alarm sirens.
The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army stated that any sounds of explosions, if heard, are due to the interception of the air defense systems against the hostile attacks, urging everyone to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the repeated Iranian assaults, considering them a blatant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty and a direct threat to its security. It added that Iran's continued aggression undermines efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions in the region.
For its part, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced the activation of alarm sirens during two different periods, urging citizens and residents to remain calm, head to the nearest safe location, and follow the news through official channels. The Bahrain Defense Force stated that the air defense systems intercepted several Iranian aerial assaults.
It added that Iran continues its hostile approach through missile and drone attacks on civilians. The Bahraini Ministry of Interior confirmed material damages to a residential building in the Muharraq Governorate without any loss of life due to the Iranian assault.
The Bahraini Foreign Ministry expressed, in a statement reported by the Bahrain News Agency, its condemnation "in the strongest terms" of the attack, emphasizing that the continuation of these assaults "places the responsibility for undermining peace on the Iranian regime."
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, condemned "in the strongest terms the Iranian terrorist attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait, involving a number of ballistic missiles and drones."
Al-Budaiwi stated in a statement today, Sunday, that these treacherous attacks represent a direct threat to the security, stability, and safety of citizens and residents on the territories of Bahrain and Kuwait, and a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, amidst the efforts of international and regional initiatives aimed at establishing security and peace and resolving the crisis, and that the continuation of these Iranian attacks undermines these efforts.
He affirmed the support of the Gulf Cooperation Council for all measures taken by Bahrain and Kuwait to enhance their security, preserve their sovereignty, and protect their peoples and residents on their territories.
