أعلنت وكالة الأنباء العراقية (واع) اعتقال عدد من المتهمين في ملفات فساد، استناداً إلى اعترافات أدلى بها وكيل وزارة النفط عدنان الجميلي.
وقال مصدر مطلع إن عدداً من المتهمين في قضايا فساد، قبض عليهم بناءً على اعترافات الجميلي، مضيفاً أن الاعتقالات شملت أعضاءً في مجلس النواب رُفعت عنهم الحصانة، إلى جانب مسؤولين وردت أسماؤهم في تلك الاعترافات. وأكد المصدر أن رئيس الوزراء علي فالح الزيدي، لن يتوانى عن ملاحقة الفاسدين والمتورطين في التجاوز على أموال الدولة.
ونفذت قوات أمنية عراقية، فجر الأحد، حملة اعتقالات واسعة شملت مواقع داخل المنطقة الخضراء وأحياء أخرى في العاصمة بغداد، واستهدفت عدداً من الشخصيات والمسؤولين، في إطار تنفيذ أوامر قضائية مرتبطة بملفات تحقيق مفتوحة.
وأفادت المصادر بأن قوة أمنية مشتركة تضم تشكيلات متخصصة نفذت عمليات دهم متزامنة، رافقها انتشار أمني وإجراءات مشددة لتأمين مواقع التنفيذ ومنع أي خروقات.
ووفقاً للمصادر، حصلت الجهات التنفيذية على موافقة رئاسة مجلس النواب على رفع الحصانة عن المشمولين بأوامر القبض، ما أتاح المضي في تنفيذ الإجراءات القانونية بحقهم.
وذكرت المصادر أن التحقيقات لا تزال جارية، وأن الجهات المختصة تواصل استكمال الإجراءات القانونية بحق المشتبه بهم، مشيرةً إلى أن الحملة قد تتبعها إجراءات إضافية في حال صدور مذكرات قبض جديدة ضمن الملفات ذاتها.
وكان القضاء العراقي أعلن، الأسبوع الماضي، مصادرة أكثر من 85 مليون دولار عُثر على جزء كبير منها مخبّأً داخل منازل وفي حفر في الأرض، في إطار قضية فساد مرتبطة بعدنان الجميلي، الذي أوقف الشهر الماضي في محافظة صلاح الدين شمال العراق.
وأوضح مجلس القضاء الأعلى أن التحقيقات في الهدر الحاصل بالمشاريع المنفذة من المتهم وآخرين، أسفرت عن ضبط مبالغ مالية نقدية بلغت أكثر من 67 مليار دينار ومليون دولار.
ولفت إلى أن جزءاً من هذه الأموال كان مخبأً في منازل عدد من الأشخاص، فيما كان الجزء الآخر موضوعاً تحت الأرض بعمق أربعة أمتار، ليصبح بذلك مقدار المبالغ المالية التي تم ضبطها في القضية يتجاوز 98 مليار دينار و11 مليون دولار، أي ما يزيد مجموعه على 85 مليون دولار.
وبناء على اعترافات أدلى بها الجميلي أثناء استجوابه، أُلقي القبض على مدير دائرة الصحة في محافظة صلاح الدين رائد الجبوري، وفق البيان.
وشملت الإجراءات القانونية في تلك القضية «ضبط وحجز 70 عقاراً و21 سيارة حديثة، إلى جانب مصوغات ذهبية تقدر بنحو 3 كيلوغرامات، بحسب مجلس القضاء الأعلى.
The Iraqi News Agency (INA) announced the arrest of several suspects in corruption cases, based on confessions made by the Deputy Minister of Oil, Adnan Al-Jumaili.
A knowledgeable source stated that a number of suspects in corruption cases were apprehended based on Al-Jumaili's confessions, adding that the arrests included members of the House of Representatives who had their immunity lifted, along with officials whose names appeared in those confessions. The source confirmed that Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaydi would not hesitate to pursue the corrupt and those involved in the misuse of state funds.
Iraqi security forces carried out a wide-ranging arrest campaign early Sunday, targeting locations within the Green Zone and other neighborhoods in the capital, Baghdad, focusing on several figures and officials, as part of executing judicial orders related to open investigation files.
Sources reported that a joint security force, comprising specialized units, conducted simultaneous raid operations, accompanied by heightened security measures to secure the execution sites and prevent any violations.
According to the sources, the executive authorities obtained the approval of the Speaker of the House of Representatives to lift the immunity of those included in the arrest warrants, allowing for the continuation of legal procedures against them.
The sources indicated that investigations are still ongoing, and the relevant authorities continue to complete the legal procedures against the suspects, noting that the campaign may be followed by additional measures if new arrest warrants are issued within the same files.
Last week, the Iraqi judiciary announced the seizure of more than 85 million dollars, a large portion of which was found hidden inside homes and in holes in the ground, as part of a corruption case linked to Adnan Al-Jumaili, who was arrested last month in Salah al-Din province, northern Iraq.
The Supreme Judicial Council clarified that investigations into the waste occurring in projects executed by the accused and others resulted in the seizure of cash amounts exceeding 67 billion dinars and one million dollars.
It pointed out that part of this money was hidden in the homes of several individuals, while the other part was buried underground at a depth of four meters, thus bringing the total amount of money seized in the case to over 98 billion dinars and 11 million dollars, which exceeds a total of 85 million dollars.
Based on confessions made by Al-Jumaili during his interrogation, the director of the Health Department in Salah al-Din province, Raed Al-Jubouri, was arrested, according to the statement.
The legal procedures in that case included "the seizure and confiscation of 70 properties and 21 modern vehicles, along with gold jewelry estimated at about 3 kilograms, according to the Supreme Judicial Council.
