رحّب قادة بريطانيا وفرنسا وألمانيا وإيطاليا بإعلان مذكرة التفاهم بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، مؤكدين في بيان مشترك استعدادهم لرفع العقوبات ذات الصلة.
وقال القادة، وفقاً للبيان: «مستعدون لرفع العقوبات ذات الصلة ردّاً على خطوات واضحة وقابلة للتحقق من جانب إيران بشأن برنامجها النووي»، داعين إلى التنفيذ السريع والكامل للاتفاق واستكمال المفاوضات التفصيلية.
من جهته، رحّب رئيس الوزراء البريطاني كير ستارمر بالاتفاق، معتبراً أنه يمثل «انفراجة مهمة» في مسار التوترات الإقليمية، ويفتح الباب أمام مرحلة جديدة من التهدئة واستئناف الجهود الدبلوماسية.
وقال ستارمر إنه يرحب «بشدة» بالاتفاق المعلن، مهنئاً الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، إلى جانب الوسطاء الدوليين، وفي مقدمتهم باكستان، فضلاً عن أطراف أخرى ساهمت في دفع المفاوضات نحو هذا المسار. وأشار إلى أهمية الدور الجماعي في تحقيق هذا التقدم.
بدوره، قال الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون: «أرحب بالاتفاق الذي تم التوصل إليه بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران، والذي جاء ثمرة جهود دبلوماسية ساهم فيها العديد من الشركاء»، داعياً إلى تنفيذه بشكل سريع وكامل من قبل جميع الأطراف المعنية.
ولفت إلى أن الاتفاق سيتيح إعادة فتح مضيق هرمز بشكل عاجل ودون شروط، وهي عملية أبدت البعثة الدولية استعدادها لدعمها، موضحاً أن استئناف حركة الملاحة البحرية في مضيق هرمز دون قيود أو رسوم أمر جوهري للاستقرار الإقليمي والاقتصاد العالمي.
The leaders of Britain, France, Germany, and Italy welcomed the announcement of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, affirming in a joint statement their readiness to lift the related sanctions.
The leaders stated, according to the statement: "We are ready to lift the related sanctions in response to clear and verifiable steps from Iran regarding its nuclear program," calling for the swift and complete implementation of the agreement and the completion of detailed negotiations.
For his part, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer welcomed the agreement, considering it a "significant breakthrough" in the course of regional tensions, opening the door to a new phase of de-escalation and the resumption of diplomatic efforts.
Starmer said he "strongly" welcomes the announced agreement, congratulating U.S. President Donald Trump, along with international mediators, led by Pakistan, as well as other parties that contributed to pushing the negotiations in this direction. He emphasized the importance of the collective role in achieving this progress.
For his part, French President Emmanuel Macron said: "I welcome the agreement reached between the United States and Iran, which is the result of diplomatic efforts involving many partners," calling for its swift and complete implementation by all parties involved.
He pointed out that the agreement will allow for the urgent and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a process that the international mission has expressed its readiness to support, explaining that the resumption of maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz without restrictions or fees is essential for regional stability and the global economy.
