أكد وزير الصناعة والتجارة اليمني الدكتور محمد الأشول أن الحكومة اليمنية تواصل تنفيذ الإصلاحات الشاملة من أجل تحقيق التعافي الاقتصادي والنهوض بواقع البلد والاستفادة من جوانب ومجالات الدعم السعودي في تحقيق الاستقرار الاقتصادي وتعزيز مبادئ الحوكمة والشفافية.
وأوضح في تصريح إلى «عكاظ» أن الحكومة تضع ضمن أولوياتها تحسين الأوضاع المعيشية للمواطنين، مبيناً أن الإصلاحات الاقتصادية والمالية التي تنفذها الحكومة تهدف بدرجة أساسية إلى تحقيق النتائج الإيجابية المباشرة التي يلمسها المواطنون وتنعكس على تحسين مستوياتهم المعيشية والارتقاء بالخدمات.
وقال الأشول إن ذلك لن يتحقق دون إصلاحات حقيقية تمضي الحكومة بكل جدية وإصرار على تنفيذها رغم التحديات التي تواجهها، مستعرضاً الجهود التي تبذلها الحكومة بالتوازي مع تنفيذ الإصلاحات الاقتصادية والمالية في تعزيز الاستقرار الاقتصادي وحماية السوق المحلية من الاختلالات والممارسات الاحتكارية. وأوضح أن قرارات مجلس الوزراء الأخيرة تضمنت حزمة من المعالجات الاقتصادية والمعيشية، شملت صرف بدل غلاء معيشة بنسبة 20% لموظفي الدولة، واعتماد العلاوات السنوية المستحقة للأعوام 2021–2024، ومعالجة التسويات الوظيفية المتوقفة منذ أكثر من 13 عاماً، بما يعكس توجه الحكومة نحو الوفاء بالتزاماتها تجاه الموظفين والتخفيف من الأعباء المعيشية للمواطنين.
ولفت إلى أن السلع الأساسية المعفاة جمركياً لن تتأثر بقرار تحريك سعر الدولار الجمركي، وأن القرار يقتصر على السلع الكمالية وبنسب محدودة لا تمس الاحتياجات الأساسية للمواطنين.
مؤتمر صحفي في عدن
وكان وزير الصناعة والتجارة محمد الأشول قد عقد في العاصمة المؤقتة عدن مؤتمراً صحفياً أشار فيه إلى أن قرار تحريك سعر الدولار الجمركي يأتي في إطار الإصلاحات الاقتصادية المعتمدة، تنفيذاً لقرار مجلس القيادة الرئاسي رقم (11) لعام 2025.
مجدداً التأكيد على أهمية الشراكة مع القطاع الخاص باعتباره ركيزة أساسية لاستقرار الأسواق، داعياً القطاع الخاص والتجار إلى الالتزام بالمسؤولية الوطنية والأخلاقية، وعدم استغلال القرار لفرض زيادات غير مبررة على أسعار السلع الأساسية.
وشدد على أن الوزارة تتابع بصورة مستمرة حركة الأسواق والتغيرات السعرية بالتنسيق مع الجهات المختصة.
لجان ميدانية رقابية
وأكد أن الوزارة شكلت لجاناً ميدانية وفرق رقابة في مختلف المحافظات للنزول إلى الأسواق وضبط المخالفات ومنع الاحتكار والمغالاة، بالتعاون مع السلطات المحلية والنيابات العامة والأجهزة الأمنية.
وأكد الأشول أن الوزارة لن تتهاون مع أي تجاوزات تمس استقرار السوق أو تثقل كاهل المواطنين.
منصة لرصد الشكاوى
وأشار الأشول إلى أن الوزارة لديها منصة رصد إلكترونية لتلقي البلاغات والشكاوى من المواطنين، إلى جانب اتخاذ إجراءات قانونية صارمة بحق المخالفين، بما في ذلك إيقاف السجلات التجارية وإدراج المتجاوزين ضمن القوائم السوداء حال استمرار المخالفات، داعياً الجميع إلى التعاون للحفاظ على استقرار أسعار السلع الأساسية وتعزيز الثقة بالسوق المحلية في ظل استقرار أسعار الصرف والجهود الحكومية المستمرة لضبط الأوضاع الاقتصادية.
The Yemeni Minister of Industry and Trade, Dr. Mohammed Al-Ashwal, confirmed that the Yemeni government continues to implement comprehensive reforms to achieve economic recovery, improve the country's situation, and benefit from aspects and areas of Saudi support in achieving economic stability and enhancing principles of governance and transparency.
He explained in a statement to "Okaz" that the government prioritizes improving the living conditions of citizens, indicating that the economic and financial reforms being implemented by the government primarily aim to achieve direct positive results that citizens can feel, which reflect on improving their living standards and enhancing services.
Al-Ashwal stated that this will not be achieved without genuine reforms that the government is seriously and persistently working to implement despite the challenges it faces, reviewing the efforts made by the government alongside the implementation of economic and financial reforms to enhance economic stability and protect the local market from imbalances and monopolistic practices. He clarified that the recent Cabinet decisions included a package of economic and living solutions, which included granting a cost-of-living allowance of 20% for state employees, approving the annual bonuses due for the years 2021–2024, and addressing the job settlements that have been stalled for more than 13 years, reflecting the government's commitment to fulfilling its obligations towards employees and alleviating the living burdens on citizens.
He pointed out that essential goods exempt from customs duties will not be affected by the decision to adjust the customs dollar rate, and that the decision is limited to luxury goods and at specific rates that do not impact the basic needs of citizens.
Press Conference in Aden
Minister of Industry and Trade Mohammed Al-Ashwal held a press conference in the temporary capital, Aden, where he indicated that the decision to adjust the customs dollar rate comes within the framework of the approved economic reforms, in implementation of the Presidential Leadership Council Decision No. (11) for the year 2025.
He reiterated the importance of partnership with the private sector as a fundamental pillar for market stability, calling on the private sector and traders to adhere to national and ethical responsibility, and not to exploit the decision to impose unjustified increases on the prices of essential goods.
He emphasized that the ministry continuously monitors market movements and price changes in coordination with the relevant authorities.
Field Monitoring Committees
He confirmed that the ministry has formed field committees and monitoring teams in various governorates to go to the markets, control violations, and prevent monopolies and price gouging, in cooperation with local authorities, public prosecutions, and security agencies.
Al-Ashwal affirmed that the ministry will not tolerate any violations that affect market stability or burden citizens.
A Platform for Monitoring Complaints
Al-Ashwal pointed out that the ministry has an electronic monitoring platform to receive reports and complaints from citizens, in addition to taking strict legal measures against violators, including suspending commercial registrations and listing offenders on blacklists if violations continue, calling on everyone to cooperate to maintain the stability of essential goods prices and enhance confidence in the local market amid stable exchange rates and ongoing government efforts to control economic conditions.
