جدّد رئيس الوزراء السوداني كامل إدريس الدعوة للمواطنين السودانيين في دول المهجر بالعودة الطوعية والاختيارية إلى العاصمة القومية الخرطوم، مؤكداً أنها
باتت «آمنة ومستقرة». جاء ذلك لدى تفقد إدريس، مساء أمس الجمعة، الساحة الخضراء بالخرطوم برفقة والي ولاية الخرطوم أحمد عثمان حمزة، بحسب ما ذكرت وكالة السودان للأنباء (سونا)، اليوم (السبت).
وأشاد رئيس الوزراء السوداني بالجهات التي ساهمت في إعادة تأهيل الساحة الخضراء بعد أن تعرضت كغيرها من المرافق العامة للتخريب المتعمد من قبل قوات الدعم السريع.
ولفت إلى أهمية الساحة الخضراء مرفقاً عاماً ومتنفساً ترتاده الأسر بكثافة وساحة لإقامة الأنشطة الاجتماعية والثقافية والرياضية، موجهاً بمواصلة أعمال التأهيل الجارية خصوصاً تأهيل المضمار وصالة الألعاب الرياضية.
ويشهد السودان حرباً منذ منتصف شهر أبريل من العام 2023، إذ اندلع القتال بين الجيش السوداني وقوات الدعم السريع شبه العسكرية.
ووصفت الأمم المتحدة الصراع بأنه أكبر أزمة إنسانية في العالم. ونزح نحو 12 مليون شخص جراء الصراع، كما يواجه نصف عدد السكان صعوبة في الحصول على الغذاء.
The Sudanese Prime Minister, Kamel Idris, renewed his call for Sudanese citizens in the diaspora to return voluntarily and optionally to the national capital, Khartoum, confirming that it
has become "safe and stable." This came during Idris's visit to the Green Square in Khartoum yesterday evening, Friday, accompanied by the Governor of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, according to what was reported by the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) today (Saturday).
The Sudanese Prime Minister praised the entities that contributed to the rehabilitation of the Green Square after it, like other public facilities, was subjected to deliberate sabotage by the Rapid Support Forces.
He pointed out the importance of the Green Square as a public facility and a recreational area frequented by families, as well as a venue for social, cultural, and sports activities, directing the continuation of the ongoing rehabilitation works, particularly the improvement of the track and the sports hall.
Sudan has been experiencing war since mid-April 2023, with fighting erupting between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
The United Nations has described the conflict as the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. Approximately 12 million people have been displaced due to the conflict, and half of the population is facing difficulties in accessing food.
