دافع وزير الداخلية الأمريكي دوج بورجوم، اليوم (الخميس)، عن قرار الرئيس دونالد ترمب باستهداف القوارب التي تزرع الألغام في مضيق هرمز، مؤكداً أنه «لا يعتبر تصعيداً».
وقال بورجوم في مقابلة مع قناة «فوكس بيزنس»: «لا تستهينوا أبداً بقدرة الرئيس ترمب على استخدام أوراق الضغط بحكمة، من أجل التوصل إلى اتفاق رائع لصالح الشعب الأمريكي»، مبيناً أن حرب إيران تصرف ذكي من ترمب.

31 سفينة غيّرت مسارها
وأضاف: «الآن العالم أصبح بالفعل مكاناً أكثر أماناً مما كان عليه قبل شهرين».
في غضون ذلك، ذكرت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية أن القوات الأمريكية أمرت 31 سفينة بتغيير مسارها أو العودة إلى الميناء، وذلك في إطار الحصار الأمريكي المفروض على إيران، مبينة أن مجموعة فورد الضاربة عملها في البحر الأحمر، دعماً للأمن البحري ضمن نطاق الأسطول الخامس الأمريكي.
وفي سياق متصل، قال رئيس أركان القوات البحرية الإيطالية جوزيبي بيروتي بيرجوتو إن روما مستعدة لنشر ما يصل إلى 4 سفن، من بينها كاسحتا ألغام، في إطار مهمة دولية لتطهير مضيق هرمز، موضحاً لهيئة الإذاعة والتلفزيون الإيطالية «راي»، أن خطة الطوارئ التي وضعها الجيش تتضمن تشكيل مجموعة من كاسحتي ألغام وسفينة مرافقة وسفينة لوجستية.
مشاركة إيطالية في نزع ألغام «هرمز»
وأضاف: «لا نتصرف بمفردنا بالطبع، نحن جزء من تحالف دولي، وسترسل دول أخرى أيضاً كاسحات ألغام»، مشيراً إلى أن بريطانيا وفرنسا وبلجيكا وهولندا لديها قدرات في مجال إزالة الألغام.
وذكر أن وصول السفن الإيطالية إلى المنطقة سيستغرق نحو 4 أسابيع، مبيناً أن لدى إيطاليا حالياً 8 كاسحات ألغام في الخدمة.
وكان وزير الدفاع جويدو كروزيتو قال الأسبوع الماضي، إن الحكومة ستسعى للحصول على موافقة البرلمان قبل أن تسمح بمشاركة إيطاليا في مهمة مضيق هرمز.

In a related context, Chief of Staff of the Italian Navy Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto stated that Rome is ready to deploy up to 4 ships, including two mine sweepers, as part of an international mission to clear the Strait of Hormuz, explaining to the Italian Radio and Television Authority "RAI" that the emergency plan set by the military includes forming a group of mine sweepers, a support ship, and a logistics ship.

He added: "We are not acting alone, of course; we are part of an international coalition, and other countries will also send mine sweepers," pointing out that Britain, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands have capabilities in the field of mine removal.
He mentioned that the arrival of Italian ships in the area will take about 4 weeks, noting that Italy currently has 8 mine sweepers in service.
Last week, Defense Minister Guido Crosetto stated that the government will seek parliamentary approval before allowing Italy's participation in the Strait of Hormuz mission.
