رفض رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي، بنيامين نتنياهو، دمج ملف لبنان وإيران، وذلك بعد أن شدد مسؤولون إيرانيون على ربط أي اتفاق محتمل مع الجانب الأمريكي بوقف إطلاق النار في لبنان.
وذكرت صحيفة «إسرائيل هيوم» اليوم (الثلاثاء) أن نتنياهو أبلغ مسؤولين أمريكيين كبار أن «أي اتفاق مستقبلي بين واشنطن وطهران لن يقيّد العمليات العسكرية الإسرائيلية في لبنان»، مشدداً على أن إسرائيل ستواصل استهداف الأراضي اللبنانية بغض النظر عن أي اتفاق أمريكي–إيراني، كما رفض مقترحاً فرنسيًا يقضي بوقف العمليات مقابل دعم دبلوماسي من باريس.
ورأى نتنياهو أن اللحظة الحالية تمثل فرصة إستراتيجية لدفع قوات حزب الله إلى ما وراء نهر الليطاني، بهدف تعزيز وصول إسرائيل إلى مناطق حيوية داخل الأراضي اللبنانية.
وأوضح مسؤول إسرائيلي أن الولايات المتحدة قبلت بالموقف الإسرائيلي، مشيراً إلى أن لبنان لا يهم الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب.
ونقلت إيران عبر وسطاء رسالة مفادها أن لبنان يجب أن يكون جزءًا من أي اتفاق لوقف إطلاق النار بين الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل.
وكان وزير الدفاع الإسرائيلي يسرائيل كاتس أكد في وقت سابق اليوم أن «الجيش الإسرائيلي لن ينسحب من الجنوب اللبناني، وسيسيطر على المنطقة الممتدة حتى نهر الليطاني»، مضيفاً: «عند الانتهاء من العملية، سيتم نشر الجيش الإسرائيلي في منطقة أمنية داخل الأراضي اللبنانية على خط الدفاع ضد الصواريخ المضادة للدبابات، وسيسيطر الجيش على كامل الأراضي حتى نهر الليطاني، كما سيتم هدم جميع المنازل في القرى القريبة من الحدود، كما حدث في رفح وبيت حانون».
The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, rejected the integration of the Lebanon and Iran files, after Iranian officials emphasized linking any potential agreement with the American side to a ceasefire in Lebanon.
The newspaper "Israel Hayom" reported today (Tuesday) that Netanyahu informed senior American officials that "any future agreement between Washington and Tehran will not restrict Israeli military operations in Lebanon," stressing that Israel will continue to target Lebanese territory regardless of any American-Iranian agreement, and he also rejected a French proposal to halt operations in exchange for diplomatic support from Paris.
Netanyahu sees the current moment as a strategic opportunity to push Hezbollah forces beyond the Litani River, aiming to enhance Israel's access to vital areas within Lebanese territory.
An Israeli official clarified that the United States accepted the Israeli position, indicating that Lebanon does not concern President Donald Trump.
Iran conveyed through intermediaries a message stating that Lebanon must be part of any ceasefire agreement between the United States and Israel.
The Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed earlier today that "the Israeli army will not withdraw from southern Lebanon and will control the area extending to the Litani River," adding: "Upon completion of the operation, the Israeli army will be deployed in a security area within Lebanese territory along the defense line against anti-tank missiles, and the army will control all the land up to the Litani River, and all houses in the villages near the border will be demolished, as happened in Rafah and Beit Hanoun."
