أكد الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، أنه من الصعب التنبؤ بتداعيات حرب الشرق الأوسط.
وخلال حديثه لقادة الأعمال في موسكو، اليوم (الخميس)، قال بوتين إن الصراع يتسبب في أضرار كبيرة للوجستيات الدولية والإنتاج وسلاسل الإمداد، ويضع ضغوطاً شديدة على شركات الهيدروكربونات والمعادن والأسمدة. وأضاف «يجب أن تكون روسيا قوية وموحدة للصمود في وجه التحديات».
وكان الكرملين، وصف الحديث عن إرسال روسيا شحنة من المسيرات إلى إيران بأنه «أكاذيب»، تعليقاً على تقرير لصحيفة بريطانية بهذا الشأن.
وقال المتحدث باسم الرئاسة الروسية دميتري بيسكوف رداً على سؤال لوكالة فرانس برس «ثمة العديد من الأكاذيب التي تنشرها وسائل الإعلام.. لا تعيروها أهمية».
ونقلت صحيفة «فايننشال تايمز»، الأربعاء، عن مسؤولين أمنيين غربيين قولهم، إن موسكو تجهّز شحنة من المسيّرات لإرسالها إلى إيران، ويُتوقع أن يتم ذلك بنهاية مارس.
وأعلنت موسكو سابقاً أنها قدمت مساعدات إنسانية منذ بدء الصراع، قائلة الأسبوع الماضي إنها أرسلت أكثر من 13 طناً من الأدوية إلى إيران عبر أذربيجان وتخطط لمواصلة الشحنات.
وطلبت طهران من روسيا تزويدها بأنظمة دفاع جوي أكثر تقدماً، ووافقت في ديسمبر الماضي على صفقة تقضي بتسليم 500 منصة إطلاق محمولة من طراز فيربا، و2,500 صاروخ من طراز 9M336 على مدى ثلاث سنوات. لكن موسكو رفضت، وفقاً لمسؤولين غربيين حاليين وسابقين، الطلبات الإيرانية للحصول على منظومة S 400، وهي واحدة من أكثر أنظمة الدفاع الجوي تقدماً لدى موسكو.
Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that it is difficult to predict the repercussions of the Middle East war.
During his talk with business leaders in Moscow today (Thursday), Putin stated that the conflict is causing significant damage to international logistics, production, and supply chains, and is putting immense pressure on hydrocarbon, metals, and fertilizer companies. He added, "Russia must be strong and united to withstand the challenges."
The Kremlin described the talk of Russia sending a shipment of drones to Iran as "lies," in response to a report from a British newspaper on the matter.
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in response to a question from AFP, said, "There are many lies being spread by the media... Do not pay them any attention."
The Financial Times reported on Wednesday that Western security officials said Moscow is preparing a shipment of drones to send to Iran, expected to occur by the end of March.
Moscow had previously announced that it has provided humanitarian aid since the onset of the conflict, stating last week that it sent over 13 tons of medicine to Iran via Azerbaijan and plans to continue the shipments.
Tehran has requested Russia to supply it with more advanced air defense systems, and in December, it agreed to a deal for the delivery of 500 portable Verba launchers and 2,500 9M336 missiles over three years. However, Moscow has rejected, according to current and former Western officials, Iranian requests for the S-400 system, which is one of the most advanced air defense systems in Moscow's arsenal.
