ندد الرئيس اللبناني جوزيف عون باستهداف إسرائيل لعدد من العسكريين اللبنانيين، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، في هجوم أودى بحياة جنديين اثنين وإصابة عدد آخر.
وقال عون: الهجوم «يتناقض بشكل فاضح مع دعوات لبنان والمجتمع الدولي إلى تمكين الجيش من بسط سلطة الدولة على كامل الأراضي اللبنانية وحصر السلاح في أيدي القوات المسلحة الشرعية».
وأكدت الرئاسة اللبنانية، في بيان، أن عون أدان بأشد العبارات «استهداف العسكريين بالتزامن مع استمرار الاعتداءات التي أودت أيضاً بحياة المئات من النساء والرجال والأطفال الأبرياء»، مؤكداً أن «هذه الأعمال تشكّل انتهاكاً صارخاً للقوانين الدولية والإنسانية».
وشدد الرئيس اللبناني على تمسك بلاده بخيار بسط سلطة الدولة على كامل الأراضي وحصر السلاح في أيدي القوات المسلحة الشرعية، داعياً إلى وقف الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية فوراً، وعدم التعرض للجيش.
وأعلنت وزارة الصحة اللبنانية ارتفاع عدد قتلى الهجمات الإسرائيلية على لبنان منذ 2 مارس إلى أكثر من 900 قتيل.
بالمقابل، أعلن وزير الشؤون الإستراتيجية رئيس وفد التفاوض الإسرائيلي مع لبنان رون ديرمر، اليوم، تسوية معظم نقاط الخلاف الـ13 الحدودية مع لبنان، مبيناً أنه ليس لإسرائيل خطط لاحتلالها.
وأوضح ديرمر أن الشراكة مع أمريكا بالحرب مستمرة، مبيناً أن إسرائيل لو اضطرت فإنها ستكمل وحدها.
وذكرت صحيفة «هآرتس» الإسرائيلية، أنه تم تأجيل جولة المفاوضات المباشرة التي كان من المقرر عقدها بين ممثلين إسرائيليين ولبنانيين خلال الأيام القادمة بشكل مؤقت، بعد تراجع إسرائيل عن الخطة.
وكثّف الجيش الإسرائيلي ضرباته الجوية والمدفعية تمهيداً لاجتياح بري، بالتزامن مع انضمام الفرقة 36 إلى جانب الفرقة 91 من الجيش الإسرائيلي، داخل الأراضي اللبنانية.
The Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned Israel's targeting of a number of Lebanese military personnel today (Tuesday) in an attack that resulted in the death of two soldiers and injured several others.
Aoun stated that the attack "contradicts blatantly with Lebanon's and the international community's calls to empower the army to assert the state's authority over all Lebanese territories and to confine weapons to the hands of legitimate armed forces."
The Lebanese presidency confirmed in a statement that Aoun condemned "the targeting of military personnel in conjunction with the ongoing assaults that have also claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent women, men, and children," emphasizing that "these acts constitute a flagrant violation of international and humanitarian laws."
The Lebanese President stressed his country's commitment to asserting state authority over all territories and confining weapons to the hands of legitimate armed forces, calling for an immediate halt to Israeli assaults and not to target the army.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the number of deaths from Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to more than 900.
In contrast, Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs and head of the negotiating delegation with Lebanon, Ron Dermer, announced today the resolution of most of the 13 border disputes with Lebanon, indicating that Israel has no plans for occupation.
Dermer clarified that the partnership with America in the war continues, stating that if Israel is forced, it will proceed alone.
The Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" reported that the direct negotiations scheduled to take place between Israeli and Lebanese representatives in the coming days have been temporarily postponed after Israel retracted its plan.
The Israeli army intensified its air and artillery strikes in preparation for a ground invasion, coinciding with the deployment of the 36th Division alongside the 91st Division of the Israeli army inside Lebanese territory.
