أكدت رئيسة وزراء إيطاليا جورجيا ميلوني، اليوم (الاثنين)، أن هجمات إيران على دول الخليج لا مبرر لها على الإطلاق، وفقاً لوكالة أنباء «آكي» الإيطالية.
وقالت ميلوني إن أمريكا وإسرائيل شنتا هجوماً على إيران، بعد فشل الاتفاق معها بشأن برنامجها النووي، موضحاً أن الأوروبيين لم يشاركوا في الهجمات.
من جهة أخرى، أكد الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون، الاثنين، أن بلاده ستعزز ترسانتها من الرؤوس الحربية النووية، موضحاً خلال كلمة ألقاها في قاعدة الغواصات النووية البحرية إيل لونج في كروزون بفرنسا، أن تعزيز الترسانة الفرنسية أمر لا غنى عنه. وقال ماكرون إن أوروبا بحاجة إلى الاضطلاع بدور أكبر في الدفاع عن نفسها، مضيفاً: ألمانيا وافقت على المشاركة في محادثات بشأن التعاون في مجال الردع النووي.
بدوره، أعلن المستشار الألماني فريدريش ميرتس، عن تشكيل فريق توجيه نووي مع ماكرون للتنسيق بشأن قضايا الردع النووي.
وقال ميرتس على منصة «إكس» إن ألمانيا تعتزم اتخاذ خطوات ملموسة بشأن قضايا الردع النووي قبل نهاية العام بما يشمل مشاركة تقليدية في تدريبات نووية فرنسية.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni confirmed today (Monday) that Iran's attacks on Gulf countries are completely unjustified, according to the Italian news agency "AKI".
Meloni stated that the United States and Israel launched an attack on Iran after failing to reach an agreement with it regarding its nuclear program, clarifying that Europeans did not participate in the attacks.
On the other hand, French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed on Monday that his country will enhance its arsenal of nuclear warheads, explaining during a speech at the naval nuclear submarine base Ile Long in Crozon, France, that strengthening the French arsenal is indispensable. Macron stated that Europe needs to take on a greater role in defending itself, adding: Germany has agreed to participate in talks regarding cooperation in nuclear deterrence.
For his part, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced the formation of a nuclear steering team with Macron to coordinate on nuclear deterrence issues.
Merz stated on the platform "X" that Germany intends to take concrete steps regarding nuclear deterrence issues before the end of the year, including traditional participation in French nuclear exercises.
