أعلن تلفزيون سورية أن حاكم مصرف سورية المركزي سيعقد مؤتمراً صحفياً الأربعاء القادم للكشف عن تفاصيل إطلاق العملة السورية الجديدة، في خطوة وُصفت بأنها الأهم على صعيد السياسة النقدية خلال السنوات الأخيرة.
مرسوم رئاسي وتنفيذ مركزي
وبحسب المعلومات، سيصدر مرسوم من رئيس الجمهورية يفوّض مصرف سورية المركزي بعملية استبدال العملة، على أن يتم عقب ذلك الإعلان الرسمي عن موعد بدء ضخ العملة الجديدة في الأسواق.
9 فئات ورقية
وتتكون العملة السورية الجديدة من 9 فئات نقدية جميعها ورقية، على أن يبدأ الطرح في المرحلة الأولى بثلاث فئات هي؛ ليرة واحدة، 5 ليرات، و1000 ليرة، دون أن تُطرح هذه الفئات للتداول الفعلي في الوقت الحالي.
معايير أمان متطورة
وتتضمن الفئات الجديدة عناصر أمان إضافية، فيما ستتميز الورقة النقدية من فئة 1000 ليرة بمعايير أمان فائقة، للحد من عمليات التزوير وتعزيز الثقة في العملة.
خامات مقاومة للتلف
وأوضح التقرير أن الأوراق النقدية ستُطبع من مواد قطنية مقاومة للتلف، مع إضافة خصائص خاصة تُمكّن فاقدي البصر من التعرف على الفئات المختلفة بسهولة.
خطة خمسية للسياسة النقدية
ويأتي إطلاق العملة الجديدة ضمن رؤية وخطة إستراتيجية تمتد خمس سنوات، تستهدف الوصول إلى بنك مركزي يعمل وفق المعايير العالمية، ويعزز الاستقرار النقدي والمالي في البلاد.
تحسُّن قيمة الليرة
وأشار تلفزيون سورية إلى أن تأجيل إطلاق العملة الجديدة جاء بهدف تحقيق استقرار في قيمة الليرة السورية، التي سجلت تحسناً بنحو 30% تقريباً خلال الفترة الماضية، تمهيداً لطرح العملة في بيئة نقدية أكثر استقراراً.
Syria TV announced that the Governor of the Central Bank of Syria will hold a press conference next Wednesday to reveal the details of the launch of the new Syrian currency, in a move described as the most significant in monetary policy in recent years.
Presidential Decree and Central Implementation
According to the information, a decree will be issued by the President of the Republic authorizing the Central Bank of Syria to carry out the currency exchange process, after which an official announcement will be made regarding the start date for introducing the new currency into the markets.
9 Paper Denominations
The new Syrian currency will consist of 9 paper denominations, with the initial phase launching three denominations: one lira, 5 liras, and 1000 liras, although these denominations will not be available for actual trading at this time.
Advanced Security Features
The new denominations will include additional security elements, with the 1000 lira banknote featuring superior security standards to reduce counterfeiting and enhance trust in the currency.
Durable Materials
The report clarified that the banknotes will be printed on durable cotton materials, with special features enabling visually impaired individuals to easily identify the different denominations.
Five-Year Monetary Policy Plan
The launch of the new currency is part of a vision and strategic plan extending over five years, aiming to establish a central bank that operates according to global standards and enhances monetary and financial stability in the country.
Improvement in the Value of the Lira
Syria TV indicated that the postponement of the launch of the new currency was aimed at achieving stability in the value of the Syrian lira, which has seen an improvement of approximately 30% in recent times, paving the way for the currency to be introduced in a more stable monetary environment.
