The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced today (Monday) that the casualties from the shelling by the "Syrian Democratic Forces" on the city of Aleppo have risen to two dead and 15 injured, the majority of whom are women and children.

The ministry stated in a statement on its account on "X": "A child and his mother were killed, and 15 others were injured, most of them women and children, in the city of Aleppo, due to the random shelling and sniper operations committed by the SDF in populated areas," adding: "The injured were transferred to Al-Razi and the University hospitals to receive the necessary medical care."

A hospital was shelled

The ministry pointed out that Al-Razi hospital was deliberately shelled while the injured were arriving, and the medical staff continues to provide immediate treatment amidst intensified efforts.

The ministry also noted that internal security units are enhancing their presence in the affected neighborhoods to secure civilians and protect them from dangers, and to keep residents away from areas of shelling and confrontations.

For its part, the Syrian Civil Defense teams reported that fires broke out in the Al-Jamiliah and Sheikh Taha neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo due to the shelling and gunfire from the "Syrian Democratic Forces," explaining that they headed to the fire sites and began working to extinguish them under difficult conditions due to the ongoing shelling and fears of the "Syrian Democratic Forces" targeting the Civil Defense teams again.

The Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management confirmed that two Civil Defense personnel were injured from gunfire that directly targeted their vehicle in Al-Sheihan roundabout in the city of Aleppo.

For its part, Syrian television reported that internal security units are enhancing their presence in the affected neighborhoods to secure civilians and protect them from dangers, and to keep residents away from areas of shelling and confrontations.

Security deployment in Aleppo neighborhoods

Colonel Muhammad Abdul Ghani, the head of internal security in Aleppo province, explained that the internal security forces are working to evacuate civilians and ensure their safety in various areas experiencing attacks by the SDF, adhering to the national responsibility of protecting citizens and safeguarding public and private property. A comprehensive security deployment has been implemented to ensure the stability of the city and protect residents and their properties.

Colonel Abdul Ghani stated: "We issue a clear warning to anyone attempting to tamper with the security of Aleppo or threaten the safety of its residents that we will deal with them firmly according to the deterrent laws and regulations," adding: "We continue our work with caution and responsibility to ensure the safety of our people in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, and we affirm that the security of citizens is a top priority."

Abdul Ghani indicated that the internal security leadership in Aleppo province renews its full commitment to fulfilling its duties and calls on all citizens to cooperate with the security agencies to maintain the security and stability of the region.
