أعلن الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين، استعداد بلاده لإجراء مفاوضات بشأن الصراع الأوكراني استناداً إلى المبادئ المقدمة لوزارة الخارجية عام 2024.
إنشاء منطقة آمنة
وقال بوتين خلال المؤتمر الصحفي السنوي في موسكو، اليوم (الجمعة): إن القوات المسلحة الروسية تواصل إنشاء منطقة آمنة على الحدود مع أوكرانيا، مضيفاً أن أكثر من 3500 جندي أوكراني محاصرون بالقرب من كوبيانسك. ونوه بالمكاسب الأخيرة في أوكرانيا، مؤكداً أن موسكو تتقدّم على طول الجبهة. وأكد أن زمام الأمور باتت في يد قواته بالكامل.
وأفاد بأن موسكو لا تعتقد أن أوكرانيا مستعدة لمحادثات السلام، مؤكدا أن روسيا «مستعدة وراغبة» في إنهاء الصراع في أوكرانيا سلمياً. وحذر الرئيس الروسي من تداعيات شديدة حال استخدام الأصول الروسية المجمّدة لصالح أوكرانيا، مؤكداً أن «المضي قدماً بالخطة كان سيكون بمثابة عملية «سطو».
وتساءل«لكن لماذا لا يمكنهم المضي قدما بعملية السطو هذه؟ لأن العواقب يمكن أن تكون شديدة على اللصوص».
وعلّق بوتين على مقطع فيديو، تقول روسيا إنه مزيف، ويظهر حديث الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي عند نصب كوبيانسك التذكاري: «إنه فنان، وفنان موهوب للغاية. أقول ذلك دون أي سخرية».
اتصالات مع الولايات المتحدة
وكان الكرملين، كشف أمس (الخميس)، أن روسيا تستعد لاتصالات مع الولايات المتحدة لفهم مدى تغير الأطروحات المتفق عليها سابقاً بشأن خطة الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب لوقف حرب أوكرانيا.
وأضاف المتحدث باسمه دميتري بيسكوف، في أعقاب الاجتماعات والاتصالات الأوروبية الأوكرانية، أن إمكانات العلاقات بين روسيا والولايات المتحدة كبيرة ومتبادلة المنفعة.
ووصف بيسكوف موقف واشنطن من التسوية في أوكرانيا، في يوم 14 ديسمبر الجاري، بأنه «حاسم وواقعي»، لافتاً إلى أن روسيا تركز في مسائل التسوية الأوكرانية على الولايات المتحدة وليس على أوروبا.
يذكر أن موسكو كانت حذّرت من فرض عقوبات أمريكية محتملة على روسيا، وأكدت أنها تضر بالتحسن في العلاقات مع واشنطن.

Establishing a Safe Zone
During the annual press conference in Moscow today (Friday), Putin stated that the Russian armed forces continue to establish a safe zone along the border with Ukraine, adding that more than 3,500 Ukrainian soldiers are besieged near Kupiansk. He noted the recent gains in Ukraine, affirming that Moscow is advancing along the front. He confirmed that the situation is now fully in the hands of his forces.
He reported that Moscow does not believe Ukraine is ready for peace talks, emphasizing that Russia is "ready and willing" to end the conflict in Ukraine peacefully. The Russian president warned of severe consequences if frozen Russian assets are used for the benefit of Ukraine, stating that "moving forward with the plan would be akin to a 'heist'."
He questioned, "But why can't they proceed with this heist? Because the consequences could be severe for the thieves."
Putin commented on a video that Russia claims is fake, showing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky speaking at the Kupiansk memorial: "He is an artist, and a very talented artist. I say this without any sarcasm."
Communications with the United States
The Kremlin revealed yesterday (Thursday) that Russia is preparing for communications with the United States to understand the extent of changes to the previously agreed-upon proposals regarding former U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in Ukraine.
Spokesman Dmitry Peskov added, following European-Ukrainian meetings and communications, that the potential for relations between Russia and the United States is significant and mutually beneficial.
Peskov described Washington's position on the settlement in Ukraine, on December 14 of this year, as "decisive and realistic," noting that Russia is focusing on the United States regarding Ukrainian settlement issues, rather than on Europe.
It is worth mentioning that Moscow has warned against potential U.S. sanctions on Russia, asserting that they harm the improvement of relations with Washington.
