احتل السودان المركز الأول مرة أخرى في قائمة الطوارئ الإنسانية السنوية التي أصدرتها منظمة الإغاثة الدولية، وسط استمرار الصراع المسلح الدامي الذي أودى بحياة عشرات الآلاف وأدى إلى أسوأ أزمة نزوح في العالم.
السودان في القائمة للعام الثالث
هذه هي المرة الثالثة على التوالي التي يحتل فيها السودان صدارة هذه القائمة، التي نشرت اليوم (الثلاثاء) وتسلط الضوء على 20 دولة الأكثر عرضة لتفاقم الأزمات الإنسانية أو نشوب أزمات جديدة.
في تصريح له، قال ديفيد ميليباند، الرئيس التنفيذي للمنظمة: «ما تشهده المنظمة على الأرض ليس مجرد حادث مأساوي، العالم لا يفشل فقط في الاستجابة للأزمات، بل إن الأفعال والتصريحات تساهم في إثارة هذه الأزمات وإطالتها ومكافأتها».
وأضاف: «حجم الأزمة في السودان، الذي يحتل المركز الأول للعام الثالث على التوالي، ويُعد الآن أكبر أزمة إنسانية مسجلة في التاريخ، هو علامة واضحة على هذا الاختلال العالمي».
الحرب السودانية
واندلع الصراع في أبريل 2023 جراء صراع على السلطة بين الجيش السوداني وقوات الدعم السريع، مما أشعل أكبر أزمة نزوح عالمية.
وأدى القتال المستمر إلى نزوح أكثر من 12 مليون شخص داخلياً وخارجياً، فيما يعاني العاملون الإنسانيون من نقص حاد في الموارد لمساعدة الفارين، الذين تعرض الكثير منهم للعنف الجنسي والسرقة والفقدان.
قائمة الطوارئ العالمية
ويأتي السودان في الصدارة، يليه الأراضي الفلسطينية، ثم جنوب السودان، إثيوبيا، وهايتي، وأشارت المنظمة إلى أن هذه الدول، رغم أنها تمثل 12% فقط من سكان العالم، إلا أنها تستضيف 89% من الأشخاص المحتاجين إلى مساعدات إنسانية، كما توقعت أن تستضيف هذه الدول أكثر من نصف الفقراء المدقعين في العالم بحلول عام 2029.
أما الدول الأخرى في القائمة فتشمل: ميانمار، جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية، مالي، بوركينا فاسو، لبنان، أفغانستان، الكاميرون، تشاد، كولومبيا، النيجر، نيجيريا، الصومال، سوريا، أوكرانيا، واليمن.
Sudan has once again topped the annual humanitarian emergency list issued by the International Rescue Committee, amid the ongoing bloody armed conflict that has claimed tens of thousands of lives and led to the worst displacement crisis in the world.
Sudan on the list for the third year
This is the third consecutive time that Sudan has topped this list, which was published today (Tuesday) and highlights the 20 countries most at risk of worsening humanitarian crises or the outbreak of new crises.
In a statement, David Miliband, the organization's CEO, said: “What the organization is witnessing on the ground is not just a tragic incident; the world is not only failing to respond to crises, but actions and statements are contributing to exacerbating, prolonging, and rewarding these crises.”
He added: “The scale of the crisis in Sudan, which has ranked first for the third consecutive year and is now considered the largest recorded humanitarian crisis in history, is a clear sign of this global imbalance.”
The Sudanese War
The conflict erupted in April 2023 due to a power struggle between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, igniting the largest global displacement crisis.
The ongoing fighting has displaced more than 12 million people both internally and externally, while humanitarian workers are facing a severe shortage of resources to assist the fleeing individuals, many of whom have suffered from sexual violence, theft, and loss.
The Global Emergency List
Sudan ranks first, followed by the Palestinian territories, then South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Haiti. The organization noted that these countries, despite representing only 12% of the world's population, host 89% of people in need of humanitarian assistance, and it is projected that these countries will host more than half of the world's extreme poor by 2029.
Other countries on the list include: Myanmar, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mali, Burkina Faso, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Cameroon, Chad, Colombia, Niger, Nigeria, Somalia, Syria, Ukraine, and Yemen.
