في ضربة قاصمة، أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أنه سيصنّف جماعة «الإخوان» منظمة إرهابية أجنبية. وقال ترمب لموقع Just the News اليوم(الأحد): «سيتم ذلك بأقوى وأشد العبارات»، مؤكداً أن الوثائق النهائية قيد الإعداد.
وجاء إعلان الرئيس بعد أيام من نشر الموقع تقريراً موسعاً حول أنشطة جماعة الإخوان، وتزايد المخاوف داخل إدارة ترمب.
وكان حاكم ولاية تكساس الجمهوري غريغ أبوت صنف الأسبوع الماضي جماعة الإخوان، ومجلس العلاقات الأمريكية الإسلامية (CAIR) «منظمات إرهابية أجنبية، ومنظمات إجرامية عابرة للحدود»، لكن «CAIR» نفت هذه التوصيفات ورفعت دعوى قضائية ضد حكومة تكساس.
وبحسب موقع Politico، تقول «CAIR» إن هذا القرار، الذي يمنع أعضاءها من شراء الأراضي في تكساس، ينتهك حقوق الملكية وحرية التعبير المكفولة دستورياً.
وفي الكونغرس، يضغط جمهوريون في مجلسي النواب والشيوخ، إلى جانب بعض الديموقراطيين، على وزارة الخارجية لتصنيف «الإخوان» منظمة إرهابية أجنبية.
وكان وزير الخارجية ماركو روبيو أعلن في أغسطس الماضي أن عملية التصنيف «جارية» لكنها طويلة ومعقدة بسبب تعدد فروع الجماعة وتشعباتها التي يجب تقييمها بشكل فردي.
وتعكس التحركات الأخيرة داخل الإدارة الأمريكية، إلى جانب تشريعات يجري طرحها في الكونغرس، توجهاً واضحاً نحو وضع الجماعة في خانة التنظيمات الإرهابية، على غرار ما قامت به دول عربية مثل مصر والسعودية والإمارات والبحرين.
ويعني تصنيف «الإخوان» كـ«منظمة إرهابية أجنبية» تفعيل أحد أقوى الأدوات القانونية في الولايات المتحدة، إذ يُجرّم القانون الفيدرالي أي دعم مادي أو لوجستي أو حتى إعلامي للجماعة.
ويؤدي التصنيف المرتقب إلى: تجميد أصول وحسابات تعود للجماعة أو أتباعها داخل الولايات المتحدة، منع أعضاء الجماعة من دخول الأراضي الأمريكية، ملاحقة أي جهة أو فرد يثبت تعامله المالي أو التنظيمي مع «الإخوان».
وأكد مراقبون أن هذه الإجراءات ستجعل أي نشاط سياسي أو اجتماعي مرتبط بالجماعة داخل الولايات المتحدة شبه مستحيل.
ويشكل القرار الأمريكي تحولاً في سياسة واشنطن تجاه الإسلام السياسي، لعدة أسباب: تعزيز التعاون مع دول عربية سبق أن صنّفت الجماعة إرهابية، ممارسة ضغط غير مباشر على أوروبا التي لا تزال تحتضن عشرات الجمعيات والمؤسسات المرتبطة بـ«الإخوان»، وإعادة تقييم علاقات واشنطن مع منظمات أمريكية تتهمها بعض الجهات بأنها قريبة من فكر الجماعة.

Trump told Just the News today (Sunday): "This will be done with the strongest and most severe language," confirming that the final documents are being prepared.
The president's announcement came days after the site published an extensive report on the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood and growing concerns within the Trump administration.
Last week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott classified the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as "foreign terrorist organizations and transnational criminal organizations," but CAIR denied these descriptions and filed a lawsuit against the Texas government.
According to Politico, CAIR states that this decision, which prevents its members from purchasing land in Texas, violates property rights and constitutionally protected freedom of expression.
In Congress, Republicans in both the House and Senate, along with some Democrats, are pressuring the State Department to classify the "Muslim Brotherhood" as a foreign terrorist organization.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced last August that the classification process is "ongoing" but is lengthy and complex due to the multiple branches and intricacies of the organization that must be evaluated individually.
The recent moves within the U.S. administration, along with legislation being proposed in Congress, reflect a clear trend towards categorizing the organization as a terrorist group, similar to what Arab countries like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain have done.
Classifying the "Muslim Brotherhood" as a "foreign terrorist organization" would activate one of the strongest legal tools in the United States, as federal law criminalizes any material, logistical, or even media support for the organization.
The anticipated classification would lead to: freezing assets and accounts belonging to the organization or its followers within the United States, preventing members of the organization from entering U.S. territory, and pursuing any entity or individual proven to have financial or organizational dealings with the "Muslim Brotherhood."
Observers confirmed that these measures would make any political or social activity related to the organization within the United States nearly impossible.
The U.S. decision represents a shift in Washington's policy towards political Islam for several reasons: enhancing cooperation with Arab countries that have previously classified the organization as terrorist, exerting indirect pressure on Europe, which still hosts dozens of associations and institutions linked to the "Muslim Brotherhood," and reevaluating Washington's relationships with American organizations that some entities accuse of being close to the organization's ideology.
