شنت قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، اليوم (الأحد)، غارة جوية على حارة حريك في الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت، مستهدفة شقة هيثم علي الطبطبائي (أبوعلي)، رئيس أركان حزب الله والرجل الثاني.
ووفق المعطيات الإسرائيلية، تعد هذه ثالث محاولة لاغتياله، إذ أكدت القناة الـ12، أن إسرائيل حاولت قتله مرتين خلال الحرب الأخيرة مع حزب الله، وأفادت بأن هذه الضربة نُفّذت بالتنسيق مع الأمريكيين.
وأفادت إذاعة الجيش الإسرائيلي بأن الطبطبائي يُعد أحد أبرز القياديين العسكريين، وشريكا أساسيا للقيادي العسكري محمد حيدر في إعادة بناء القدرات العسكرية للحزب، ما يفسّر حجم التركيز الإسرائيلي عليه خلال الأسابيع الماضية.
وأعلن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، أن الجيش الإسرائيلي شن "ضربة في قلب بيروت استهدفت رئيس أركان حزب الله".
وتأتي الغارة الإسرائيلية ضمن مناخ تصعيدي متدرّج في الساعات الأخيرة، مع ازدياد وتيرة التهديدات الصادرة من القيادات العسكرية الإسرائيلية، التي تتحدث عن اقتراب «مرحلة حسم» على الجبهة الشمالية.
وامتدّ هذا التصعيد من الجنوب -حيث تُسجَّل خروقات يومية وعمليات اغتيال- إلى قلب الضاحية، في تطور يقرأ كرسالة مباشرة بأن إسرائيل مستعدة لتوسيع بنك أهدافها متى قررت الانتقال إلى مرحلة أعلى.
وتعد ضربة حارة حريك إنذارا واضحا بأن التصعيد لم يعد محصورا بالحدود الجنوبية، وأن أي اشتعال واسع قد يبدأ من نقطة تتجاوز الهدنة نفسها، وصولا إلى بيروت.
The Israeli occupation forces launched an airstrike today (Sunday) on the Haret Hreik neighborhood in the southern suburbs of Beirut, targeting the apartment of Haitham Ali Al-Tabtabai (Abu Ali), the Chief of Staff of Hezbollah and the second-in-command.
According to Israeli data, this is the third attempt to assassinate him, as Channel 12 confirmed that Israel tried to kill him twice during the recent war with Hezbollah, and reported that this strike was carried out in coordination with the Americans.
The Israeli army radio reported that Al-Tabtabai is considered one of the most prominent military leaders and a key partner to military leader Muhammad Haidar in rebuilding the party's military capabilities, which explains the level of Israeli focus on him in recent weeks.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel will continue to do what is necessary to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its capabilities.
He said, "Over the weekend, the Israeli army launched an attack in Lebanon, and we will do everything necessary to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its capabilities against us."
He added that Israel is responsible for its own security and that decisions to thwart attacks are made by the army, and we decide without waiting for the approval of any party.
The Israeli airstrike comes amid a gradually escalating climate in recent hours, with an increase in the frequency of threats issued by Israeli military leaders, who speak of the approach of a "decisive phase" on the northern front.
This escalation has extended from the south—where daily violations and assassination operations are recorded—to the heart of the suburbs, in a development that is interpreted as a direct message that Israel is ready to expand its target bank whenever it decides to move to a higher phase.
The Haret Hreik strike serves as a clear warning that the escalation is no longer confined to the southern borders, and that any widespread ignition could start from a point that exceeds the ceasefire itself, reaching Beirut.
