أصدر رئيس الجامعة العربية المفتوحة قراراً يقضي بتكليف البروفيسور عبدالله بن سعد المليص الغامدي مديراً لفرع الجامعة بالمدينة المنورة، إلى جانب عمله أستاذاً بكلية دراسات الحاسب الآلي.
ويأتي هذا القرار ليعزز من القيادة الأكاديمية للجامعة بفرع المدينة، حيث يمتلك البروفيسور المليص مسيرة علمية حافلة بدأت منذ حصوله على درجة الدكتوراه من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ليكون من أوائل الكفاءات الوطنية التي تخصصت في مجالات تقنية نادرة، مسخراً خبرته التي تمتد لأكثر من 30 عاماً في تطوير التعليم العالي وبناء المناهج في عدد من الجامعات السعودية.
وينتمي البروفيسور عبدالله إلى مدرسة تربوية عريقة، فهو نجل الشيخ سعد بن عبدالله المليص وعُرف بتأثره بالنهج الإداري والتربوي لعمّه نائب وزير التعليم الأسبق الدكتور سعيد المليص، مما أسهم في تشكيل شخصيته القيادية التي تجمع بين الحكمة الإدارية والعمق الأكاديمي.
وبموجب هذا التكليف، سيتولى المليص مهمات إدارة فرع الجامعة في طيبة الطيبة، بالإضافة إلى دوره العلمي في كلية دراسات الحاسب الآلي، مساهماً في دعم التحول الرقمي وتأهيل الكوادر الطلابية وفق أحدث المعايير التقنية، ومستنداً إلى سيرة عملية وإنسانية ناصعة جعلت منه نموذجاً يحتذى به في الميدان التعليمي.
The President of the Arab Open University has issued a decision appointing Professor Abdullah bin Saad Al-Mulais Al-Ghamdi as the Director of the university branch in Medina, in addition to his role as a professor at the College of Computer Studies.
This decision comes to enhance the academic leadership of the university branch in Medina, as Professor Al-Mulais has a distinguished academic career that began with his obtaining a PhD from the United States, making him one of the first national competencies specialized in rare technical fields, leveraging his experience of over 30 years in developing higher education and building curricula in several Saudi universities.
Professor Abdullah belongs to a prestigious educational lineage; he is the son of Sheikh Saad bin Abdullah Al-Mulais and is known for being influenced by the administrative and educational approach of his uncle, former Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Said Al-Mulais, which has contributed to shaping his leadership personality that combines administrative wisdom with academic depth.
By virtue of this appointment, Al-Mulais will undertake the responsibilities of managing the university branch in Taiba, in addition to his academic role in the College of Computer Studies, contributing to supporting digital transformation and qualifying student cadres according to the latest technical standards, relying on a pristine professional and humanitarian record that has made him a role model in the educational field.
