انتقل إلى رحمة الله تعالى مدير عام الخدمات الطبية للقوات المسلحة السابق اللواء الطبيب عبدالحميد بن محمد الفرائضي، بعد مسيرة مهنية حافلة بالعطاء امتدت لأكثر من أربعة عقود في خدمة الوطن والطب العسكري.
ويُعد الفقيد من أبرز القيادات التي أسهمت في تأسيس وتطوير منظومة الخدمات الطبية بالقوات المسلحة، إذ تولّى منصب مدير عام الخدمات الطبية خلال الفترة من 1404هـ حتى عام 1419هـ، وكان له دور محوري في إنشاء وتوسيع المستشفيات العسكرية ورفع كفاءة الكوادر الطبية والإدارية، مما جعله أحد الرموز البارزة في تاريخ الطب العسكري بالمملكة.
وصلي عليه بعد صلاة العصر اليوم (الأربعاء)، في جامع الملك خالد بأم الحمام بمدينة الرياض، ودفن في مقبرة الشمال. ويتقبل العزاء في منزل الفقيد بحي الخزامى في الرياض.
The former Director General of Medical Services for the Armed Forces, Major General Dr. Abdulhamid bin Mohammed Al-Furaidi, has passed away to the mercy of Allah after a distinguished career spanning over four decades in the service of the nation and military medicine.
The deceased is considered one of the most prominent leaders who contributed to the establishment and development of the medical services system within the armed forces. He held the position of Director General of Medical Services from 1404 AH until 1419 AH, and he played a pivotal role in the creation and expansion of military hospitals and enhancing the efficiency of medical and administrative staff, making him one of the notable figures in the history of military medicine in the Kingdom.
He was prayed upon after the Asr prayer today (Wednesday) at King Khalid Mosque in Umm Al-Hamam, Riyadh, and was buried in the Northern Cemetery. Condolences are accepted at the deceased's home in Al-Khuzama neighborhood in Riyadh.
