دحضت وزارة الداخلية السورية الأنباء التي ترددت على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي خلال الفترة الماضية عن حالات اختطاف نساء وفتيات في الساحل السوري، مؤكدة أن 41 حالة من بين 42 من هذه الشكاوى لم تكن حالات اختطاف.
وقال المتحدث باسم وزارة الداخلية نور الدين البابا خلال مؤتمر صحفي اليوم (الأحد): «إن الوزارة تابعت باهتمام بالغ شكاوى وصلت إلى وحدات الأمن الداخلي وانتشار أخبار عن حالات اختطاف نساء وفتيات، انطلاقاً من مسؤوليتها في الحفاظ على الأمن والنظام العام وإدراكاً منها لخطورة هذه الشكاوى والادعاءات وأثرها المباشر في أمن المجتمع واستقراره».
وأضاف البابا أن «وزير الداخلية أصدر في يوليو الماضي توجيهاته بتشكيل لجنة للتحقق من صحة هذه الشكاوى والادعاءات، أشرف على عملها ومتابعتها معاون الوزير للشؤون الأمنية عبد القادر طحان، وترأسها مستشار الوزير للشؤون القانونية وحقوق الإنسان سامر الحسين، وعضوية ممثلين عن عدد من الإدارات المختصة في الوزارة، على رأسها إدارة المباحث الجنائية».
وكشف البابا أن «اللجنة قامت في الأشهر الماضية بجمع وتدقيق وتوثيق كل ما نشر من بلاغات أو منشورات تتحدث عن حالات اختطاف منذ بداية العام الحالي وحتى العاشر من سبتمبر الماضي. وشمل عمل اللجنة 4 محافظات هي اللاذقية، طرطوس، حمص، وحماة، فيما بلغ عدد ما رصدته وتعاملت معه 42 حالة، في 60 جلسة على مدى 3 أشهر».
وأفاد بأن اللجنة راجعت السجلات الرسمية التي احتوت على شكاوى ذوي الضحايا، واستمعت إلى النساء والفتيات المعنيات وذويهن، وزارت المواقع التي أُشير إليها في السجلات ومنشورات مواقع التواصل، وتبيّن أن 41 حالة من هذه الشكاوى لم تكن حالات اختطاف.
وأكد المتحدث أن وزارة الداخلية تتعامل مع أي بلاغ أو شبهة فقدان وخطف بأقصى درجات الجدية والمسؤولية، داعياً المواطنين والمجتمع المدني والمنظمات الحقوقية إلى مشاركة كل البلاغات والشبهات من هذا النوع مع الوزارة. وشدد على عدم الانسياق وراء الشائعات، والتأكد من صحة أي معلومة قبل تداولها.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior has refuted the rumors that circulated on social media in recent times about cases of kidnapping of women and girls in the Syrian coast, confirming that 41 out of 42 of these complaints were not cases of kidnapping.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Nour al-Din al-Baba, said during a press conference today (Sunday): "The ministry has closely followed the complaints that reached the internal security units and the spread of news about cases of kidnapping of women and girls, based on its responsibility to maintain security and public order and its awareness of the seriousness of these complaints and allegations and their direct impact on the security and stability of society."
Al-Baba added that "the Minister of Interior issued directives last July to form a committee to verify the accuracy of these complaints and allegations, which was supervised by the Assistant Minister for Security Affairs, Abdul Qadir Tahan, and chaired by the Minister's Advisor for Legal Affairs and Human Rights, Samer al-Hussein, with representatives from several relevant departments in the ministry, led by the Criminal Investigations Department."
Al-Baba revealed that "the committee has spent the past months collecting, verifying, and documenting all reports or posts discussing cases of kidnapping from the beginning of this year until the tenth of September. The committee's work covered four governorates: Latakia, Tartus, Homs, and Hama, with a total of 42 cases monitored and addressed in 60 sessions over three months."
He stated that the committee reviewed the official records containing complaints from the victims' families, listened to the women and girls involved and their relatives, and visited the locations mentioned in the records and social media posts, revealing that 41 of these complaints were not cases of kidnapping.
The spokesperson confirmed that the Ministry of Interior deals with any report or suspicion of loss and kidnapping with the utmost seriousness and responsibility, calling on citizens, civil society, and human rights organizations to share all such reports and suspicions with the ministry. He emphasized the importance of not succumbing to rumors and verifying the accuracy of any information before circulating it.
