أكدت مصادر رسمية وشعبية لـ«عكاظ» في دمشق صحة ما تم تداوله خلال اليومين الماضيين أن الرئيس السوري الانتقالي أحمد الشرع بدأ حملة غير مسبوقة في سورية ضد الفساد.

عدم التسامح مع الفساد
واستهلها الشرع بأشقائه، الذين يتردد أنه أغلق مكتب أحدهم التجاري في دمشق. وأكدت المصادر أنه أمر موظفي الدولة الذين يملكون سيارات فارهة بتسليم مفاتيحها، وإلا فإنهم سيخضعون لتحقيقات تحت طائلة الكسب غير المشروع، فيما ذكرت وزارة الإعلام السورية -في تقرير لرويترز أمس- أن الرئيس البالغ من العمر 43 عاماً شدد على عدم التسامح مع أي شبهة فساد بين موظفي الدولة.
ويتولى شقيق الشرع حازم الإشراف على الأعمال والاستثمارات الأجنبية والمحلية في سورية، أما شقيقه الأكبر ماهر، وهو طبيب أمراض نساء وولادة يحمل الجنسية الروسية، فهو يشغل منصب الأمين العام لرئاسة الجمهورية.
ويتردد أن شقيقه رجل الأعمال جمال وقع في قبضة حملة مكافحة الفساد التي ابتدرها الشرع، إذ يقال إنه فتح مكتباً في دمشق للاستيراد والتصدير والسياحة.

إغلاق مكتب جمال الشرع
وأكدت مصادر أن الشرع أمر بإغلاق مكتب شقيقه جمال في أغسطس الماضي، ونقلت رويترز عن وزارة الإعلام السورية أنه أضحى «غير مسموح لجمال الشرع بالعمل كجهة استثمارية أو تجارية».
وحذر الرئيس الشرع أفراد أسرته، بمن فيهم والده البالغ من العمر 79 عاماً، من استغلال اسم العائلة لتحقيق مكاسب شخصية، غير أن جمال الشرع نفى في بيان سلمه لرويترز أنه يملك مكتباً خاصاً.
وفي مقطع مرئي بثته وسائل الإعلام الرسمية في 13 أكتوبر الماضي، طالب الشرع المسؤولين بالكشف عن استثماراتهم الحالية، وبحظرهم من الدخول في مشاريع خاصة جديدة.

Al-Shara began this campaign with his brothers, one of whom is rumored to have had his commercial office in Damascus shut down. The sources confirmed that he ordered state employees who own luxury cars to hand over their keys, or else they would be subjected to investigations under the pretext of illicit gains, while the Syrian Ministry of Information stated in a report to Reuters yesterday that the 43-year-old president emphasized zero tolerance for any suspicion of corruption among state employees.
Al-Shara's brother Hazem oversees foreign and local business investments in Syria, while his older brother Maher, a gynecologist who holds Russian citizenship, serves as the Secretary-General of the Presidency.
It is rumored that his brother, businessman Jamal, has fallen victim to the anti-corruption campaign initiated by Al-Shara, as it is said that he opened an office in Damascus for import, export, and tourism.

Closure of Jamal Al-Shara's Office
Sources confirmed that Al-Shara ordered the closure of his brother Jamal's office last August, and Reuters reported from the Syrian Ministry of Information that it has become "forbidden for Jamal Al-Shara to operate as an investment or commercial entity."
President Al-Shara warned his family members, including his 79-year-old father, against exploiting the family name for personal gain, but Jamal Al-Shara denied in a statement he submitted to Reuters that he owns a private office.
In a video clip broadcast by official media on October 13, Al-Shara demanded that officials disclose their current investments and prohibited them from entering into new private projects.
