في تصريح حاسم على متن الطائرة الرئاسية «إير فورس وان»، أكد رئيس الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية دونالد ترمب أن وقف إطلاق النار ليس في خطر بعد الضربات الإسرائيلية في قطاع غزة.
وقال ترمب للصحفيين وهو في طريقه إلى كوريا الجنوبية: «لا شيء سيهدد وقف إطلاق النار في غزة. لقد قتلوا جنديا إسرائيليا، ولذلك رد الإسرائيليون، وكان عليهم أن يردوا».
واعتبر ترمب، أن «حماس جزء صغير ضمن اتفاق للشرق الأوسط»، مضيفا أن «لإسرائيل الحق في الانتقام» و«إن لم تلتزم حماس سيتم القضاء عليها».
وكانت مصادر طبية فلسطينية أفادت، الأربعاء، بمقتل 41 شخصا وجرح العشرات نتيجة الهجمات الإسرائيلية على مدينتي غزة وخان يونس في قطاع غزة.
In a decisive statement aboard Air Force One, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that the ceasefire is not at risk following the Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip.
Trump told reporters while en route to South Korea: "Nothing will threaten the ceasefire in Gaza. They killed an Israeli soldier, and that's why the Israelis responded, and they had to respond."
Trump considered that "Hamas is a small part of a larger agreement for the Middle East," adding that "Israel has the right to retaliate" and "if Hamas does not comply, it will be eliminated."
Palestinian medical sources reported on Wednesday that 41 people were killed and dozens injured as a result of the Israeli attacks on the cities of Gaza and Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip.
