طردت الحكومة السودانية اليوم (الثلاثاء)، مدير مكتب برنامج الغذاء العالمي العامل في الخرطوم لوران بوكيرا ومديرة قسم العمليات في البرنامج سمانثا كاتراج.
وبلغت وزارة الخارجية السودانية الموظفين الأمميين بقرار الحكومة باعتبارهم شخصين غير مرغوب فيهما، مشددة على ضرورة مغادرتهما البلاد خلال 72 ساعة.
وأوضحت الوزارة في بيانها حرص حكومة السودان على التعاون الكامل مع المنظمات الدولية العاملة في البلاد، وفقاً للقوانين والأعراف الدولية التي تضمن احترام سيادة الدول، مشددة على أن هذا القرار لا يؤثر على استمرار التعاون القائم مع برنامج الغذاء العالمي.
وأكدت الوزارة أن السودان يواصل التزامه بتسهيل العمل الإنساني وفق الأطر المتفق عليها.
وكان الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات الصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر قد أعلن في وقت سابق اليوم، مقتل خمسة من متطوعيه في السودان، موضحاً أن المتطوعين الخمسة قُتلوا في مدينة بارا أثناء توزيعهم مواد غذائية وهم يرتدون سترات رسمية، دون أن يقدم تفاصيل عن كيفية مقتلهم أو يحمّل أي طرف المسؤولية.
وذكر الاتحاد أن ثلاثة متطوعين آخرين في عداد المفقودين.
وكان حاكم إقليم دارفور مني أركو مناوي، قد قال إن قوات الدعم السريع حصلت على إمكانات كبيرة مكنتها من بسط سيطرتها على مدينة الفاشر، مشيراً إلى أن الوضع الميداني في الإقليم يشهد تدهوراً خطيراً.
The Sudanese government today (Tuesday) expelled the Director of the World Food Program office in Khartoum, Laurent Bukera, and the Director of Operations for the program, Samantha Katraj.
The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the UN employees of the government's decision to consider them as persona non grata, emphasizing the necessity for them to leave the country within 72 hours.
The ministry clarified in its statement the Sudanese government's commitment to full cooperation with international organizations operating in the country, in accordance with international laws and norms that ensure respect for the sovereignty of states, stressing that this decision does not affect the ongoing cooperation with the World Food Program.
The ministry confirmed that Sudan continues its commitment to facilitate humanitarian work within the agreed frameworks.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies announced earlier today the killing of five of its volunteers in Sudan, explaining that the five volunteers were killed in the city of Bara while distributing food supplies and wearing official vests, without providing details on how they were killed or assigning blame to any party.
The federation mentioned that three other volunteers are missing.
The Governor of the Darfur region, Mini Arko Minawi, stated that the Rapid Support Forces have gained significant capabilities that enabled them to establish control over the city of El Fasher, noting that the field situation in the region is witnessing a serious deterioration.
