أقر الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، اليوم(الثلاثاء)، أكبر موازنة دفاع في تاريخ الولايات المتحدة بقيمة تريليون دولار، متعهداً بعودة الولايات المتحدة لبناء السفن الحربية.
وكشف في كلمة على متن حاملة الطائرات جورج واشنطن USS George Washington بالقاعدة البحرية في يوكوسوكا وسط اليابان أمام 6 آلاف جندي أمريكي، أنه وافق على أول دفعة صواريخ لمقاتلات F-35 اليابانية، معلنا أنها ستصل هذا الأسبوع.
وأشاد ترمب بالبحرية الأمريكية، والمعدات العسكرية، وقال: «لا توجد أي صواريخ أو معدات مثل هذه في أي مكان بالعالم، لا أحد يصنعها مثلنا، وإذا فعلوا، فإن بحريتنا ستدمرهم وتسحقهم».
أقوى جيش في العالم
وأكد أن الولايات المتحدة لديها أقوى جيش في تاريخ العالم، لا أحد لديه أسلحتنا، ولفت إلى ميزانية البنتاغون الجديدة التي قال إنها تتجاوز تريليون دولار. وقال ترمب إن قوتنا لا تأتي من الأسلحة، ولكن من الرجال، وأضاف: «ونحن نستثمر مبالغ قياسية في تاريخنا، نحن ننفقها بحكمة».
وأشار إلى أنه يدعم رفع مرتبات القوات المسلحة الأمريكية عبر كافة فروعها ما أثار تصفيقاً حاراً من الجنود. وأضاف «الآن يجب علينا أن نقنع الديمقراطيين بالموافقة على رفع الرواتب»، وتابع: «ولكنهم سيفعلون ذلك في نهاية المطاف».
ووجه بصرف كافة المستحقات الخاصة بأفراد الخدمة العسكرية المنتشرين بالخارج، وهي إعانة «الابتعاد عن العائلة».
ووصل ترمب إلى القاعدة العسكرية على متن المروحية الرئاسية (مارين وان)، برفقة رئيسة الوزراء اليابانية ساناي تاكايتشي، حيث شاهدا معاً مراسم استقبال على سطح السفينة.
السلام من خلال القوة
وتأتي زيارة ترمب في إطار عرض قوة أوسع في المنطقة من قبل الولايات المتحدة واليابان لمواجهة «التهديدات المتزايدة» من الصين، في سياق سياسة واشنطن المعروفة بـ«السلام من خلال القوة»، علماً بأن هناك 55 ألف جندي أمريكي متمركز في اليابان.
وأعلن أن شركة تويوتا اليابانية ستبني الكثير من المصانع في الولايات المتحدة، في معرض حديثه عن الاستثمارات اليابانية في الولايات المتحدة.
القوة تزأر من جديد
وأكد ترمب أن «القوة الأمريكية تزأر من جديد والولايات المتحدة يتم احترامها بمستويات لم نشهدها من قبل». وقال: «أوقفت الغزو على حدودنا الجنوبية، والآن لدينا أكثر حدود أماناً في تاريخنا»، وواصل حديثه عن «غزو» المهاجرين غير الشرعيين، مؤكدا أن معدلات الجريمة انخفضت في المدن التي نشر فيها الحرس الوطني، «لدينا مدن آمنة الآن».
وأكد أن الجيش الأمريكي يقضي على كارتلات المخدرات، ويقوي الأمن في الداخل. وأضاف: هزمنا التضخم، ومتوسط المداخيل يزداد بوتيرة قياسية، وبنينا أقوى وأكبر اقتصاد في تاريخ العالم، لدينا اقتصاد حجمه 17 تريليون دولار، وسيصل إلى 20 أو 21 تريليون دولار.
عصر ذهبي مع اليابان
ووقع ترمب ورئيسة الوزراء اليابانية اليوم (الثلاثاء)، اتفاق تنفيذ لما وصف بـ«العصر الذهبي» للتحالف بين البلدين، وكان النص الموقع لا يتجاوز صفحة واحدة، كما وقعا اتفاقاً إطارياً لتأمين إمدادات المعادن الحيوية والعناصر الأرضية النادرة.
ووقعا اتفاقيات أخرى تشمل التعاون في تطوير مشاريع الغاز الطبيعي المسال بولاية ألاسكا ووقف استيراد الغاز الروسي المسال، إضافة إلى اتفاق يتعلق بواردات اليابان من فول الصويا الأمريكي، وفق وكالة «أسوشيتد برس».
واستقبلت تاكايتشي ترمب في قصر أكاساكا بطوكيو، وهو دار الضيافة الرسمي للدولة، واستعرضا حرس الشرف التابع لقوات الدفاع الذاتي اليابانية.
وقال البيت الأبيض إن تاكايتشي أبلغت الرئيس الأمريكي أنها تعتزم ترشيحه لجائزة نوبل للسلام، مؤكدة أنها تقدر بشدة التزامه بالسلام والاستقرار العالميين، ووصفت اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار في قطاع غزة الفلسطيني بأنه «إنجاز تاريخ غير مسبوق».
U.S. President Donald Trump approved today (Tuesday) the largest defense budget in U.S. history, valued at one trillion dollars, pledging to return the United States to building warships.
In a speech aboard the USS George Washington aircraft carrier at the naval base in Yokosuka, central Japan, in front of 6,000 American soldiers, he revealed that he had approved the first batch of missiles for Japan's F-35 fighters, announcing that they would arrive this week.
Trump praised the U.S. Navy and military equipment, saying, "There are no missiles or equipment like this anywhere in the world, no one makes them like we do, and if they do, our Navy will destroy them and crush them."
The Strongest Army in the World
He confirmed that the United States has the strongest military in the history of the world, stating that no one has our weapons, and he pointed to the new Pentagon budget, which he said exceeds one trillion dollars. Trump stated that our strength does not come from weapons, but from the men, adding, "And we are investing record amounts in our history; we are spending it wisely."
He noted that he supports raising the salaries of the U.S. armed forces across all branches, which elicited a warm round of applause from the soldiers. He added, "Now we have to convince the Democrats to agree to raise the salaries," and continued, "But they will eventually do it."
He directed that all entitlements for military personnel deployed abroad, known as "family separation allowance," be paid out.
Trump arrived at the military base aboard the presidential helicopter (Marine One), accompanied by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaiichi, where they both witnessed a welcoming ceremony on the deck of the ship.
Peace Through Strength
Trump's visit comes as part of a broader display of strength in the region by the United States and Japan to counter "growing threats" from China, in line with Washington's policy known as "peace through strength," noting that there are 55,000 American soldiers stationed in Japan.
He announced that the Japanese company Toyota will build many factories in the United States while discussing Japanese investments in the U.S.
Strength Roars Again
Trump affirmed that "American strength roars again and the United States is being respected at levels we have not seen before." He said, "I stopped the invasion at our southern border, and now we have the safest borders in our history," continuing to speak about the "invasion" of illegal immigrants, emphasizing that crime rates have decreased in the cities where the National Guard has been deployed, "We have safe cities now."
He confirmed that the U.S. military is eliminating drug cartels and strengthening domestic security. He added: "We defeated inflation, and average incomes are rising at a record pace, and we built the strongest and largest economy in the history of the world; we have an economy worth 17 trillion dollars, and it will reach 20 or 21 trillion dollars."
A Golden Era with Japan
Trump and Prime Minister Takaiichi signed today (Tuesday) an implementation agreement for what was described as a "golden era" for the alliance between the two countries, with the signed text not exceeding one page. They also signed a framework agreement to secure supplies of critical minerals and rare earth elements.
They signed other agreements including cooperation in developing liquefied natural gas projects in Alaska and halting imports of Russian liquefied gas, in addition to an agreement concerning Japan's imports of American soybeans, according to the Associated Press.
Takaiichi welcomed Trump at the Akasaka Palace in Tokyo, the official state guesthouse, where they reviewed the honor guard of the Japan Self-Defense Forces.
The White House stated that Takaiichi informed the U.S. president that she intends to nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize, emphasizing that she greatly appreciates his commitment to global peace and stability, describing the ceasefire agreement in the Palestinian Gaza Strip as "an unprecedented historic achievement."
