اقتحمت عناصر من جماعة الحوثي مقر مفوضية اللاجئين في صنعاء، واعتقلت عدداً من الموظفين الأمميين ساعات عدة قبل أن تفرج عنهم، وصادرت أصولاً تتعلق بقاعدة بيانات المستفيدين من مشاريع المفوضية من النازحين واللاجئين.
ونقل الصحفي اليمني فارس الحميري عن مصادر خاصة، قولها: إن مسلحين حوثيين اقتحموا، أمس الأحد، مقر المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين الواقع في شارع الجزائر بصنعاء، واعتقلوا ثلاثة موظفين من المفوضية ساعات عدة، وتم إطلاق سراحهم.
وأفاد بأن الحوثيين عبثوا بمحتويات المقر الأممي وصادروا أصولاً مهمة، بما في ذلك قاعدة بيانات المستفيدين من مشاريع المفوضية من النازحين واللاجئين. وأكد أن عملية الاقتحام تسببت في توقف المراسلات والتواصل الرسمي بين المقر الرئيسي والفروع والفرق الميدانية.
وتجيء هذه العملية بعد يوم من اقتحام مكتب المبعوث الأممي إلى اليمن ومقر منظمة الأغذية والزراعة (الفاو) في منطقة حدة جنوب صنعاء ونهب محتوياتهما، بقيادة القياديين الحوثيين محمد الوشلي وصقر الشامي، ضمن سلسلة من الانتهاكات ضد مقرات المنظمات الدولية والمحلية في صنعاء.
وأفصحت مصادر محلية عن استمرار تعقيدات عمل الأمم المتحدة في مناطق الحوثيين، إذ تفرض الجماعة قيوداً على العمل الإنساني منذ عام 2021 عبر اقتحامات واحتجاز موظفين محليين تُفرج عنهم أحياناً مقابل صفقات مالية أو مساعدات أو أسلحة، في محاولة متكررة للابتزاز.
وحسب معلومات أممية، فإن الحوثيين يحتجزون نحو 60 موظفاً محلياً حالياً، مع استهداف ممنهج لمقار الأمم المتحدة، ما دفع المنظمة إلى إعادة تقييم أسلوب عملها، وتعيين نائب المبعوث السابق معين شريم لتعزيز جهود حماية الموظفين ومنع الاحتجاز مستقبلاً.
Elements from the Houthi group stormed the headquarters of the Refugee Commission in Sana'a, arresting several UN employees for several hours before releasing them, and confiscated assets related to the database of beneficiaries of the Commission's projects for displaced persons and refugees.
A Yemeni journalist, Fares Al-Hamiri, reported from special sources that Houthi gunmen stormed the headquarters of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees located on Algeria Street in Sana'a yesterday, Sunday, and detained three employees of the Commission for several hours before releasing them.
He reported that the Houthis tampered with the contents of the UN headquarters and confiscated important assets, including the database of beneficiaries of the Commission's projects for displaced persons and refugees. He confirmed that the storming operation caused a halt in correspondence and official communication between the main headquarters, branches, and field teams.
This operation comes a day after the storming of the office of the UN envoy to Yemen and the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in the Hadda area south of Sana'a, where their contents were looted, led by Houthi leaders Mohammed Al-Washli and Saqr Al-Shami, as part of a series of violations against the premises of international and local organizations in Sana'a.
Local sources revealed that complications for the work of the United Nations in Houthi areas continue, as the group has imposed restrictions on humanitarian work since 2021 through storming and detaining local employees, who are sometimes released in exchange for financial deals, aid, or weapons, in a repeated attempt at extortion.
According to UN information, the Houthis are currently holding about 60 local employees, with a systematic targeting of UN premises, prompting the organization to reassess its working methods and appoint the former deputy envoy, Maeen Shareem, to enhance efforts to protect employees and prevent future detentions.
