في ثاني انشقاق خلال أسبوع، أعلنت قوات العمالقة الجنوبية في اليمن، اليوم (السبت)، استقبالها القيادي المنشق عن الحوثيين عبده أحمد عبده عوض قائد ما يسمى بـ«السرية الثانية في اللواء السادس كرار» الحوثي.
وقالت القوات في بيان أن عوض الذي كان يقود المسلحين في جبهة حاضية بمديرية مقبنة غرب تعز وصل إلى الساحل الغربي منشقاً عن الحوثي وجرى استقباله والترحيب به.
قائد العمالقة يرحب بالمنشق
ورحّب عضو مجلس القيادة الرئاسي، قائد قوات العمالقة الجنوبية عبدالرحمن المحرمي أبو زرعة، بقرار انشقاق القائد العسكري عن صفوف الحوثي والعودة إلى حضن الوطن، مشيداً بهذه الخطوة الشجاعة النابعة عن صحوة وطنية.
ودعا المحرمي المغرر بهم في صفوف الحوثي إلى اتباع هذه الخطوة، مؤكداً أن باب العودة إلى حضن الوطن ما زال مفتوحاً لكل من ينبذ مشروع الحوثي.
تدهور أوضاع الحوثي
بدوره، أكد القيادي الحوثي المنشق عبده أحمد عوض انشقاقه عن صفوف مليشيا الحوثي، داعياً في فيديو مصور المغرر بهم في صفوف الحوثي من شخصيات وقيادات عسكرية، إلى العودة إلى حضن الوطن، ونبذ الجماعة وأفكارها وأعمالها التي تسلكها لتدمير البلاد.
وكشف عوض تدهور الأوضاع الداخلية لجبهات الحوثي، على عكس ما تروج له وسائل إعلامها، موضحاً، أن التسليح يفتقر بشدة للذخائر والأسلحة، وعاجز عن توفير متطلبات المقاتلين.
وأشار إلى تعمُّد الحوثي تجنيد الأطفال والرجال الأميين غير المتعلمين بكثرة، وإدخالهم دورات طائفية لتعبئة عقولهم بالأفكار المضللة والمغلوطة، معرباً عن شكره لقوات العمالقة الجنوبية، على حسن الاستضافة والاستقبال الأخوي الرائع والمُشَرّف، الذي فاق كل التوقعات وشعوره بتقدير كبير.
ثاني قيادي منشق
ويعد عوض هو ثاني قيادي كبير في صفوف الحوثي ينشق عن الجماعة خلال أقل من أسبوع بعد استقبال قيادة وزارة الدفاع ورئاسة هيئة الأركان العامة اليمنية، (الثلاثاء)، القيادي الحوثي المنشق قائد ما يسمى «اللواء العاشر صماد» العميد صلاح الصلاحي.
وتعيش جماعة الحوثي تصدعاً كبيراً وانقساماً واضحاً في صفوفها مما دفع بحزب المؤتمر الشعبي العام جناح صنعاء إلى تجميد نشاطه التنظيمي، (الخميس)؛ بسبب انتهاكات الحوثي المسلحة التي طالت الحزب الأسابيع الماضية واختطاف الأمين العام المساعد أحمد علي غازي منذ أكثر من ثلاثة أشهر.
تجميد عمل حزب «صالح»
وقالت مصادر في الحزب أن اللجنة العامة للحزب أقرت التجميد في ظل التخوين الحوثي خشية الانتقام من قبل الحوثيين.
وأكدت المصادر وجود تصدع وتدهور واضح في صفوف الحوثي الداخلي مما دفع به إلى شن حملات اختطافات واعتقالات واسعة لقيادات من حزب المؤتمر، ووضع أخرى تحت الإقامة الجبرية.
وتوقعت المصادر أن تشهد الأيام القادمة مزيداً من الانشقاقات خصوصاً من القيادات التي لها ارتباطات بحزب المؤتمر الشعبي (حزب الرئيس الراحل صالح)، التي تتعرض لانتهاكات واسعة.
In the second defection within a week, the Southern Giants Forces in Yemen announced today (Saturday) that they have welcomed the leader who defected from the Houthis, Abdu Ahmed Abdu Awad, the commander of what is known as the "Second Company in the Sixth Karar Brigade" of the Houthis.
The forces stated in a statement that Awad, who was leading fighters on the Hadiya front in the Maqbana district west of Taiz, arrived on the western coast after defecting from the Houthis and was received and welcomed.
The Giants Leader Welcomes the Defector
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Commander of the Southern Giants Forces, Abdulrahman Al-Mahrimi Abu Zar'a, welcomed the decision of the military leader to defect from the Houthis and return to the homeland, praising this courageous step that stems from a national awakening.
Al-Mahrimi called on those misled within the ranks of the Houthis to follow this step, affirming that the door to return to the homeland remains open for anyone who rejects the Houthi project.
Deterioration of Houthi Conditions
For his part, the defected Houthi leader Abdu Ahmed Awad confirmed his defection from the Houthi militia, calling in a recorded video for those misled within the Houthis, including personalities and military leaders, to return to the homeland and reject the group and its ideas and actions that aim to destroy the country.
Awad revealed the deterioration of the internal conditions of the Houthi fronts, contrary to what their media promotes, explaining that their armament severely lacks ammunition and weapons, and is unable to meet the needs of the fighters.
He pointed out that the Houthis deliberately recruit children and illiterate men in large numbers, enrolling them in sectarian courses to fill their minds with misleading and erroneous ideas, expressing his gratitude to the Southern Giants Forces for their excellent hospitality and warm, honorable reception that exceeded all expectations and his feeling of great appreciation.
Second Defector Leader
Awad is the second high-ranking leader within the Houthis to defect from the group in less than a week after the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces received the defected Houthi leader, the commander of what is known as the "Tenth Brigade Samad," Brigadier General Salah Al-Salahi, on Tuesday.
The Houthi group is experiencing significant fractures and clear divisions within its ranks, which prompted the General People's Congress party wing in Sana'a to suspend its organizational activities on Thursday due to the armed violations by the Houthis against the party in recent weeks and the kidnapping of the Assistant Secretary-General Ahmed Ali Ghazi for more than three months.
Suspension of the "Saleh" Party's Activities
Sources within the party stated that the General Committee of the party approved the suspension in light of the Houthi accusations of treason, fearing retaliation from the Houthis.
The sources confirmed the existence of clear fractures and deterioration within the Houthi ranks, which led them to launch extensive campaigns of kidnappings and arrests of leaders from the Congress party, placing others under house arrest.
The sources expected that the coming days would witness more defections, especially from leaders with ties to the General People's Congress (the party of the late President Saleh), who are facing widespread violations.
