استبعد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب تولي الرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس قيادة قطاع غزة بعد انتهاء الحرب، قائلاً إن عودته إلى المشهد «غير مرجحة» في ظل التحديات السياسية والأمنية. وذلك في مقابلة مثيرة للجدل مع مجلة «تايم» اليوم (الخميس).
قرار بشأن البرغوثي.. قريباً
وعند سؤاله حول احتمال إفراج إسرائيل عن القيادي في حركة «فتح» مروان البرغوثي، المعتقل منذ أكثر من 22 عاماً، كجزء من ترتيبات ما بعد الحرب، أجاب ترمب دون توضيح: «لقد واجهت هذا السؤال قبل نحو 15 دقيقة من اتصالك.. سأفكر بالأمر جيداً قبل اتخاذ قرار».
وأكد ترمب أنه يحب الرئيس محمود عباس، لكنه يرى أن الأخير «قد لا يكون الشخص المناسب لقيادة غزة»، مضيفاً: «حماس وافقت على نزع سلاحها، وإن لم تفعل فسأتدخل».
البرغوثي.. رمز مقاوم وشعبية كاسحة
يُنظر إلى مروان البرغوثي، البالغ من العمر 66 عاماً، المحكوم عليه بالسجن المؤبد 5 مرات، بوصفه الشخصية الفلسطينية الوحيدة القادرة على توحيد الصف الوطني وفق مراقبين إقليميين.
وتُظهر استطلاعات للرأي تفوّق البرغوثي على عباس بفارق ملحوظ يصل إلى 35% في حال إجراء انتخابات رئاسية، ما يجعله الأوفر حظاً لقيادة السلطة الفلسطينية مستقبلاً. ويرى كثيرون أنه يجمع بين شرعية المقاومة والقدرة على التفاوض، ما يفتح الباب أمام جسر الهوة بين «فتح» و«حماس».

I will think about it carefully before making a decision."
Trump confirmed that he likes President Mahmoud Abbas, but he believes that the latter "may not be the right person to lead Gaza," adding: "Hamas has agreed to disarm, and if they don't, I will intervene."
Barghouti.. A Symbol of Resistance and Overwhelming Popularity
Marwan Barghouti, 66 years old and sentenced to life imprisonment five times, is viewed as the only Palestinian figure capable of uniting the national ranks, according to regional observers.
Polls show Barghouti outperforming Abbas by a significant margin of 35% in the event of presidential elections, making him the most likely candidate to lead the Palestinian Authority in the future. Many believe he combines the legitimacy of resistance with the ability to negotiate, which opens the door to bridging the gap between Fatah and Hamas.
